  1. I guess it's hard to keep up with the musical chairs in NKY.
  2. The so-called favorite has not won it the past 2 seasons. Being the favorite is not always a good thing.
  3. Or.......possibly become the favorites themselves.
  4. Congrats!! Sounds like it's time to move up to D1.
  5. Congrats to her and her family!
  6. Coach Jones has not, does not, and will not avoid tough teams to schedule. What you see currently on the KHSAA website is not complete. They have Collins, Simon Kenton, Owen County, South Oldham, Oldham County, Anderson County.........basically most of the top teams in the 8th on the schedule as usual.
  7. Koby Carlton is the point guard, Beckham is more of a 2 guard.
  8. Congrats to Erin and her family!!
  9. Cheyenne Clark from Henry County, solid point guard.
  10. As far as I know, there is not a "Premier" 16u Slugger team this Fall. There two 18u teams, Don Dobina and Lou Ridolfi each have one.
  11. If Trimble County transfer is eligible to play, it will give Trimble a legit point guard, and would possibly make them the favorite to win the 8th Region All A. I think it would also make them a serious contender to make it to Diddle.
  12. I left at half after a long lightning delay, and Ludlow kicked a FG just before half to take a 23-20 lead.
  13. I am not aware of any, but I do know of at least two D1 committed kids that asked their future college coach if it was OK for them to not play high school ball. Both kids were told that it was ok. For the record, my kid was NOT one of them.
  14. Travel ball is not the only road to a softball scholarship. BUT......you can sure bet that it is near impossible to get a D1 softball scholarship without playing travel ball. Not only is it necessary to play travel ball to get a D1 softball scholarship, there are many D1 college coaches that would be very unhappy if little Susie dropped travel ball after getting that scholarship, possibly unhappy enough to pull the scholarship offer. They want little Susie competing at the highest level possible, as long as possible, all the way up until they arrive on campus.
  15. Agree 100%. Not only was she their go to scorer, she was the only player that could go left, and handle the ball against good pressure. Going to also be hard to replace the experience that graduated with Owings, Cox, Cook, and Hester.
  16. Congrats to Highlands Junior Shelby Graybill! She will be continuing her softball career and education at the D1 level at Bowling Green State University. Well deserved!!
  17. Actually a Sr.........the rosters on KHSAA rollover automatically at some point.
