Menifee needs new coach again.

Merle is not crazy enough to go to Menifee. That might be the worst coaching situation in the state. -
Raceland Coach Shawn Johnson Resigns
BogeyMan replied to Blue Blazer's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Coach Johnson got the most from his players all the time. His memorial game with Elliott County has always been a class event and meaningful for the Elliott County players and fans as well as the Rams. -
16th Region All Area Team
BogeyMan replied to kele_okereke's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Hmmmmm!! I thought Elliott won the region and a game at Rupp:rolleyes: Dodd coach of the year? At least more than 27 points were put up at the State, even in the loss! -
No dog in this fight. I just don't see that many players better than Britt Faulkner. Stats only tell a part of the story. Without her ball handling Rose Hill doesn't even get out of the District, much less win the Region.

Scholarships are year to year. I believe if a coach that recruits a player leaves that playey can get out of his LOI until enrollment.

Isn't a player free to rescind LOI if coach that signed him leaves before school starts?

Greenup coaching question

That would be one long PM!!! -
Now that would be big. I would love to see the General back. I disliked this type of offense, but you can't argue with it's effectiveness.

Warren Central 92 Elliot County 76
BogeyMan replied to Cameraman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Congrats to both teams. Warren Central was the better team in that game and moved on. Elliott County let me watch my team play two games at Rupp which is something I never thought I would see. I hope the kids savored the moment. They will have a big target on their backs the next couple of years and may not get to make the trip back. The Warren Central team has enjoyed 6 straight trips to Rupp and played with a talented, senior-dominated lineup. The superior team won out in this game. But, I love to watch the little schools play with such enthusiasm and heart. They didn't quit even when down 29 with less than 5 minutes left. That is the legacy of this Elliott County team...hard work and heart. I will look forward to watching them play the next couple of years. -
You ought to watch his relative that just left Greenup County. The worst acting adult, or child for that matter, that I have ever witnessed in public.

Elliott/Warren Central Predictions
BogeyMan replied to Lil' Devil Dad's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
As always I will be pulling for Elliott, but Warren Central has size and speed. This is a very tough match up for the Lions with or without Knipp. Elliott will have to play a near flawless floor game, keep the penetration to a minimum and hope Warren central is not hitting the jumpers. Rebounding will be a big key. If Elliott sticks to the fundementals of defense and blocking out and shoots well it could be a big upset. -

Excellent observation. SV was out of position and having to push and grab. Elliott shot more free throws because SV did nothing defensively in the second half except catch up and foul. The best team won the game. The rest is sour grapes! -
16th Region KABC Coach and Player of the Year:
BogeyMan replied to dinoradja's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I hadn't really thought about Daniel's in terms of his supporting cast and coach. While I still think VanHoose is the more complete player, I cannot argue with you all that Daniels is deserving. -
Scott County 59 Oldham County 47

Coach Hicks has class. He could have won by 30. This works to his advantage as key players didn't have to play as many minutes. Congrats! They will be tough to beat. -
Interesting fact about the sweet 16 teams...

I guess we could save a whole lot of time this way. Just send the favorites and skip the time and expense of playing games:rolleyes: -

VanHoose was the best player in the region. Daniels is a good player and evidently a great student, but outside his coach, I don't know a coach in the region who wouldn't rather have VanHoose on his team if given a choice. These awards always puzzle my poor little mind! -

There are some who would say a dunk, technical, and showing up a beaten and inferior team team in the closing seconds of a blow out is not such a fine way to end the adventure. A very classless act by a great basketball talent. However, I place most of the blame on the obviously challenged coach who still had him in the game. -
If you're WARREN CENTRAL, you're probably thinking...
