This is one of those games I would love to see. We will never know the whole story unless we saw this one. Would love to see video. Now, I love the Tigers and they are from my region so I side with them most of the time but I will say this. When Lee played at Jackson City there was some what I would call "dirty" things that happened. Particularly the player taunting the Free Throw Shooter during the shots and a player tried to fight with a Lee player, unprovoked from what I could tell. Now, that being said, the game and emotions can run high and I dont think any of these kids are bad kids. They just need to learn to channel that energy on the court. Good luck to the Tigers on the rest of the season.

Well, lets see here. No defensive ajustments against Estill. As much as I hate to say it, Cody Gilbert would have scored 50 if he would have stayed in the post. But he starts shooting outside shots all game and the coach says nothing. I don't argue with the fact that he has been a good coach over the years. But he has SO MUCH TALENT THIS YEAR!!! Stamper and Crowe are good players, but he has some good talent on the floor before them too. Good coaches get more out of their talent. Cody Gilbert is a very good player and has had a good season, but no one else wants to step up and play defense or rebound or score. The coach can't just let it all fall on one players shoulders which I've seen him do. Didn't someone say he yelled at a player for dribbling once and not passing to Cody? I think I read that on here before. I am not saying he has been a bad coach before, I just say he is not doing his best this year with all the talent he has. Coach Creech should look at his schedule this year and realize that they have given up 76 points a game, more than any other team in the region, while scoring only 68. First rule of basketball, the team with the most points will win the game.

I just don't see it happening. I have seen the Owls play a several times this year. Playing together is a big problem for this team. They just can't do it it seems. I really think next year they will be better because a lot of thses kids will be comfortable playing ball. Its the first year for several I think.

Wow, Coach Creech really needs a good run in the districts and region IMO. He has so much talent on that team and can't get anything out of it. Boy oh boy. Is he getting any heat?

I figured this would happen. You can not say that anyone is the best team in the region. Well, not say it and actually be right.

Well, I went to this game and really thought the Owls played tired. They looked very lethargic. Don't know if they had hard practice but defensively they played beat. Trey Congleton got some "tired" fouls. By that I mean kind of lazy defense and over compensating and fouling. Smith played ok tonight but forced it a little IMO. Neeley looked tired as well. Just don't know what to make of these owls. They are better than they play but I just never see them play together. I guess I should have seen the JBS game. Powell did play good defense Bballking. They played well all around. That bench scares me a little. I am hoping we win at Lee so we can play Owsley. Good win here Pirates. I was really hoping to see Owsley play better than they did. I don't think their season has much hope. Probably knocked out in the first round of the District by Estill.(I'm predicting a win at Lee )

I agree with you. But many people on here would argue that they aren't as good as advertised. I think they will be great come tourney time.

Catholic by as many as they want. If they want to win by 50 they will. It will probably be in the 21-28 point range though.

And like I said in my post, I think he is a good guy off the court. I've seen him play baseball and he is a very good pitcher. I just think that the Owls fans have created this monster that they complain about so much by dedicating their team to Smith. Not all fans, but a lot of them on this forum.

I hope Lee represents the 14th well. I guess we have to rescedule our game on Friday, but if that means Lee moves on in the tourney and brings attention to our region, so be it. We are all rooting for you from Irvine and the rest of the 14th Bobcats!!

If JBS loses this one, we may wonder if the PCC game was a fluke.

This isn't saying that Estill has been slighted in any way by referee's but our team is still adapting to 14th region officials. Before we knew all the faces and coach knew how far he could push it before getting a "t". Things like that we are still adapting to. But I feel the 14th officials are great and I don't really have any complaints. I think next year will be different for Estill as the region and we adapt to each other. This could be a suprise for us but I think we can beat Wolfe. We have good matchups all around.

The only reason, ONLY, is becasue of you Owsley fans just praising every dribble the kid puts down. All we heard all year was "Boy watch out when Smith comes back" and meanwhile, you have 2 VERY talented kids workin their butts off for this "team" (Neeley and Congleton) and in 6 or 7 games, Robert Smith has gotten more "fluffing" from the fans in Booneville than Neeley got in every game before that. I don't dislike Robert Smith. I really like him and wish him well but I think it is unfair that the first day back of eligibility with NO practice with plays that he comes in and takes a starting spot from a kid that has been to the games and practice and EARNED IT!!! And we hear so much from him scoring 21 against Lee County...how many did Neeley have in the early games of the year when they played more like a team. They may have lost by more (38) the first time we played them, but when we went to Booneville I think they looked worse with Smith.(-24) So, there is something for you people in Booneville to attack me on. I'm ready to respond. :fire:

It seemed to me that Buckhord spent a lot of energy and wasted shots trying to get Tyler Rich to foul out in the second half. The big boy "Diesel" i believe he's called, threw up some crazy shots trying to get contact from Rich, who just stayed straight up. The radio guys did a great job! I felt like I was there.

Who wins this one? 3 of the top 6 or 7 players in the region will be playing in Gilbert, Dixon and Berryman. I think Estill has the talent and firepower to beat Wolfe at home, but Hazard had problems doing that.

I think Owsley will win. I hope Robert Smith and Neeley are both hitting. If this happens, Leslie is in trouble. But they are a big quick team and could be "on" just as well. I think it will be a good game.
