  1. I will ask him. I'm not sure on the # of HR's, but I'll find out. Lee County has an outstanding Little League, and I'm sure they keep up with stuff like that. That's kind of a "neat" record to hold.
  2. Some of this title 9 stuff is getting ridiculous! I don't know the particulars in this case, but I think you will see a lot more of these types of punishments given out.
  3. Who do you feel are the best hitter's in the 14th region?
  4. Tre will probably start in centerfield, but will get a lot of time "on the hill". He was developing a very good breaking ball last season. I just haven't seem it since then. As soon as basketball is over, he will be throwing everyday. Actually, as soon as the 15th rolls around.
  5. Where did you go Ronnie the not so popular with me ? It was just getting good. You bash me and them leave??
  6. Whatever..I owe him nothing..He owes the rest of the basketball team the apology. I dont' represent the school what so ever on BGP. I am a citizen just like you who has freedom of speech too. :madman:
  7. Dustin Wilson, and the big kid. Not sure about his name. I wish Daniel would not have quit, but it will hurt him if he wants to play College basketball. This year's basketball team has been like a puzzle. No one knows which piece to put into the puzzle next. By the time they figure it out, the season will be over.
  8. I do see where Robert will have to score a lot more that Neeley is gone. Someone will have to pick up that 12-14 point loss in points. Maybe Tre, or one of the other boys will step up. You may even see a team playing "team basketball". That would be a fun thing to see.
  9. No! I wouldn't look at them. But if they made a change trying to help out their career and it didn't work out, that is different. I don't see many High School students changing schools every year. The problem with changing schools is you may have to loose some of the valuable playing time.
  10. High School sports is a one time deal that you get, and some of the decisions you make in High School will impact your future. Say you are a College recruiter and you see someone playing and he is doing great. Then you find out he has quit several times in his career. Are you willing to risk one of the few scholarships you have on someone who has the reputation to just quit if things aren't going his or her way. I did recruit College ball players, and I can say that I would not "waste" a scholarship on someone like that, when there are a lot more people who play their hearts out everyday and dream of playing College Sports, or even attending College. See this is a touchy subject with me! Nothing personal.
  11. I would love to see Daniel come out for baseball, but if he is going to get half way through the season and quit, then I don't want him to. I guess the subject of quitting is a sore spot for me. To me quitting is the easy way out.
  12. You bring up a great point. I'm not sure on that, I'm just glad I don't coach basketball. There was/is way to much drama happening with the basketball team.
  13. Obviously Daniel doesn't care if the team will play better without him. The world is a cruel place, and just because things aren't the way you want them, doesn't mean you just quit. You have to remember you are on a team, it's not all about you. I know if I was playing and someone I was playing with didn't want to be there, then I would want them GONE. Maybe the team gets better without this person being there.
  14. Explain yourself.. I was just making a statement. We all know Daniel isn't playing for Owsley. I just think they will play better basketball now.
  15. You are right. Tre plays hard, and that's what it is all about.
  16. The Breathitt boys will be scored on at will. Lee by around 15.
  17. I will say that Robert will drop 30 on the OBI boys. I'm not saying anything bad about anyone. With that being said...I am predicting that the Owls will play better without Neeley. Just my thoughts. Neeley is a great kid, but I feel the change will help the other players. Can anyone talk Daniel into playing baseball??
  18. The Owls will open with Buckhorn in the ALL A. I have to say I'm not a big fan of having the ALL A start the season. Give me a couple of games to play with my line-up! :creepy:
  19. I'm looking for Tre Congleton to step it up a notvh this year. He can track a ball in the outfield, and is capable of hitting. He needs to get his cuts in as soon as basketball is over. I hear he still holds the Lee County little league homerun record. Not confirmed, I just heard that.
  20. Leslie will win with ease even at Breathitt County. Leslie County is tough.
  21. Aren't they all fun??
  22. There is no Middle School Program as of right now. I'm not sure that they can have one based on the title 9 stuff. It was a great program/idea but it got cancelled right in the middle of the year last season.
  23. I would really love to see him finish the season. Everyone gets frustrated at times, but when he is older like me, he will always remember his days of playing High School ball. You only get your 4 years of basketball in High School...once it's gone, you can't get it back. Maybe I can swindle him into playing baseball??
  24. If the "rumor" that Daniel Neeley has quit the team at Owsley, this game could get out of hand. Unless Tre, and Robert both "go off" on Lee County. By "go off" I mean each of them hitting 30 a piece. I can't wait till basketball is over!!
