  1. Bad journalism all the way around. First, Nothing was alleged against Trinity yet they are thrown into the headline. Second, nothing is alleged against Duece, yet his inclusion implies some sort of impropriety. Third, this is not an article by Jason Frakes or Jody Demling - typically they are more ethical/responsible. C. Ray Hall should be writing for Tiger Beat. Fourth, Robby Valentine is one of the last people on the planet that I would want to have ANY influence on my children, let alone hold the position of school board vice president. X and T should hold their heads high. They are above this.
  2. I LOVE most of the things on this thread - asparagus, liver, olives, oysters - but I can tell you the three things I will not eat: beets, brussell sprouts, and turnip greens.
  3. I know these shows will be like stray bullets compared to Friends, Seinfeld, All in the Family, etc. (all of which I love), but I really liked It's Garry Shandling's Show and The Larry Sanders Show.
  4. There's a Steven King short story about this...can't remember the title but it appears in Everything's Eventual.
  5. Wasn't her sister involved in an incident at an Applebee's in Lexington recently? :sssh:
  6. The things this guys has probably been guilty of over the years would be too numerous to list on BGP.
  7. A forfeit is crazy. Baseball games aren't forfeited for corked bats. If you get caught you pay a price. In this case hit the Pats up for $250,000 and their 5th draft pick next year. There, now wasn't that simple? (I think I will apply for the commissioner's job when it becomes available again! )
  8. I don't really have a dog in this fight. I'm actually for UofL, but I really think UK pulls this one out.
  9. I thought "moist" referred to counties where bars could serve beer and wine but not liquor (like Eminence, KY, I believe)?
  10. I think you could take all-stars from a handful of schools (T, X, H, BG, Highlands, Lex Cath) and they would be unbelievably good. Throw in individual athletes from middle-of-the-road programs and the squad would be even better.
  11. I am an Irish fan (albeit a mild one) but I truly believe that Michigan wins by something like 34-9
  12. I cannot even imagine what it would have been like to be in NYC. I remember exactly where I was when it happened and I remember thinking, "That's it. This is how World War III begins."
  13. ^^^ We win at the board game and lose in real life!
  14. Geez, I voted "no" but after reading some posts I'm thinking I'm only 51% certain.
  15. Even longer than Barry Goheen was at Vandy? :D On the topic of the thread, I've always thought Woodson was overrated, from the moment he was being recruited. That said, I hope he throws for 4000 yards this year! I love to see UK do well. Also, how good would it look for KY prep football to have the TOP TWO QBs drafted in next year's NFL draft?
  16. My son was an excellent T-ball/coach pitch player. At age 7 he didn't want to play baseball anymore (He just didn't like it) and I didn't make him. It killed me but I refused to be that parent who wants their child to succeed for their own pleasure, relative to the pleasure of the child. Does that make sense?
  17. Anyone know who #61 is so credit can be given where credit is due?
  18. Publicly traded company, private company, it doesn't matter. They are not a government agency is the point I was trying to make.
  19. For that matter, if Southwest wanted to make everyone wear clown suits to ride on their planes, they should be allowed to do so. Of course, people would choose to not ride on their planes. Extreme example, but you get the point.
  20. Private golf courses can have dress code policies. Private airlines can, too. Nobody is making her fly on their plane
  21. If Duece has half as many yards as he did last night the Tigers win by double digits.
  22. And Cribbage, if that qualifies as a board game.
