Chorus was not even close to one of the main factors for Brett. While singing is important to him... it was some personal issues between he and Coach L that made him leave the court. He is currently tearing up the IBL league.

I would agree that over the PAST TWO WEEKS that CCH and HC are the top 2 in the district. But, Holmes is the number 1 seed because they won all their district games and earned their way into that seed, with or without Mr. Rice. Rankings mean nothing now and Holmes is pulling it together again.

I have only met Mr. Elders once, and he was a pretty good guy, but never got to see him play. Ironically doesn't his sister attend HC?

My mistake I think I read your post wrong. While I do not think Romes would have played as much at CCH, I definitely think he would have played. Would he have started?... Possibly. Like I said, I don't think he fits in with the CCH style of game as opposed to Beechwoods. That is what makes me think he wouldn't play as much, but he definitely would get a lot of minutes.

True I was a doubter last year and somewhat this year as well. I don't think Romes is "best suited" for the CCH offense, but rather is more suited for the Beechwood offense where he has more freedom to do what he wants and slash and drive. CCH's offense is more of a run the play, make the passes on the perimeter, and shoot the ball. Romes is a ball handler who like to drive and shoot. Not saying that he wouldn't play at CCH, but he was definitely better suited at Bwood.

So you heard this opinion from one person? And you are claiming that a group of about 5000 CCH faithful are of the same opinion? Everyone that I know in my senior class loves Mike and when he makes an appearance at the CCH home games, he almost always gets a cheer to himself. And everyone wishes Michael the best and wants him to succeed except against CCH.

Wow. I called NCC in the 9th region picks, but I was thinking they would at least win in regulation, regardless of the earlier loss to NHS. Great season by the Wildcats, brought some attention to Newport. Hopefully the trend continues.

HC00... take a break, you are obviously very tired. Sorrell is a great player, no question. Best 3 point shooter in the region is laughable and to say he is the best in the 08 class is right up there. He is probably top 5, but to say best in 08 virtually hands down is a joke considering the strength of this class. Simpson, Bondick, Schmerge, Henderson, and I might even throw in Roll from CCH. Others also impress me but names fail me at this moment. The year's sophomore class is absolutely loaded. Thirdly, Maile is a stud, and to say that he recieves special consideration because of family ties... look at Cory - did he recieve family special consideration. You are losing credibility on this site very quickly to me.

Was the district seeded at this time? Was CCH the 3 seed?

Kiernan, while he is a good player and probably best big man in the 9th is most likely #5 out of the ones listed above. I would take Hill then Vories with Romes pulling a very very close 3rd. Jefferson is also in the top 4, but hasn't had the stats to make him POY, but he has all the intangibles needed for a PG.

Another observation that coincides with yours - last year CCH was ranked #1 in the region, so they would have the home side throughout the region, am I correct? Not that it's a big deal - Conner wore their home jerseys (region was at Conner) and took the home side. Not sure if this is what is typically done of the lower seed, but it was technically a home game, but if it were a nuetral site would Conner have been wearing blue?

CovCath looks to make it 4 in a row for the region.

LCA could flat out HIT the laces off the ball. I went to all 3 games when they played up here against CCH and those were some big boys who could hit the ball and if they have a lot of those guys back... that's scary.

Probably the best 1st round district matchup in the state on Tuesday. Both teams come in at arguably the top 2 teams in the region. Definitely both top 4. Who comes out on top? I'll take the Colonels in a close one. CCH-58 HC-53
