Well said YSTICK! However ,I am just glad to see some people in the stands at our games! When my oldest son started playing there four years ago, no one stayed past halftime except the players parents. Now they stay,actually watch and maybe learn a little.Regardless, we need their money at the gate!

Thats easy to say when your team goes to state championship every three years on avg! your team also has a lot more resources, both monetarily and athletically.It is not the kids fault they all don't have field turf to play on and state of the art training facilities and equipment.There are distinct classes because of public/private issues, enrollment size etc.My son's school had to scramble at the last minute to raise money to paint the field for a game because the school district wouldn't pay!Does Highlands or CovCath ever worry about stuff like that?This is not so different than the divs. 1,2,3 and NAIA.We all aspire to be onthat level but the fact is it will never happen. We probably have six different levels IMO.

Let me start with a small list. Matt Stiles Franklin County 100+ tackles in reg. season 4 fum.rec. Antoine Robinson Franfort High has lead team last 2 yrs. 2nd in county Jacob Lochnane Lexington Cath.

How is this worse than a DB"clocking" a WR and getting a15yd. penalty when it could have been a 50yd. gain or a TD?Sometimes it is strategically the right thing to do!It should be an option for the offense as well!

Two of the best coached teams I have ever seen!Two COMPLETLY diferent styles of offense.Talent is probably even,so I give highlands a slight edge because they expect to win state titles and their coaches have been there many times before.Definitely under 40 pts for both teams!

I agree. distance of 15 yds ok, but not loss of down! the max penalty should be 15 yds. on both sides of the ball.

No mention of tillman, what kind of game did he have?Will he play in college?He seems to have had numerous injuries. Hope that it hasn't scared off anyone recruiting him!

My hat is off to Franklin Co.They had an amazing season!I agree with ystick on the execution aspect of last nights game especially the turnovers.You can't play a team like highlands and make those kinds of mistakes. IMO field position was one of, if not the biggest factors.Short kicks are great if they are not returnable but highlands was able to set up decent returns on FC's kicks last night. Regardless of last nights outcome,players and coaches at FC should walk with heads held high!Your program has far exceeded expectations and the 2005 season will not be forgotten !As a longtime fan of FC,It has been a great joy to watch the acheivements this year. Can't wait till next year!

The class system proposal is a"fix" for the public/private mess.Tenn. uses a formula that multiplies a schools enrollment by 1.5 times if they have an open enrollment policy and take ATHELETES FROM OTHER COUNTIES OR STATES. This is more feasible only if there are more classes.Also has anyone ever considered classing by # of male students in male sports,female students in female sports?

Israel is a quick and shifty back who runs very hard. He will prove to be a key in this matchup. Can catch the ball out of the backfield as well. (Note to CCH LB's watch for the draw it can be deadily and he runs it well.)

I have seen both teams play and I think that they match up good upfront. But LexCath's skill positions will prove to be too much for CC. IMO the only chance for CC in this game is to put TONS of pressure on Burke and keep up offensively. LC 38 CC 21

Fans and the media both should just watch and enjoy.If you want to talk about your opinions and name names, do it dicreetly among friends.Fans and media have way too much influence on sports now, with fans voting on all stars in most sports and media polls deciding champions.Just the facts baby,that would be refreshing.It would also be nice if all apects of the games were talked about, not just offense! tell us about tackle leaders too!

Ammons at FC may be the best PLAYER in the state, not just the best QB.HE has great speed,arm,and is a great decision maker on the field.And thats just on offense! He is also a great tackler (second on his team)and has some huge hits on his resume' on defense.He is also just a great young man.

How can The players at Highlands not be a little over confident! after all EVERYBODY in NKY knows central KY football is a cut below them.I hope this is the mentality up there so FC can give them the south oldham treatment!Go Flyers!!!!!

Lexcath wins in a rout. They cannot be stopped,the only way to even play close is to rack up 35+ on your side of the scoreboard. I don't think Covcath offense is up to the task. I'm personally looking foward to the possibility of a franklin co- lexcath rematch. that one would keep the scorekeeper busy!
