Eagle Pride 90`

This post shows little respect for JC. I understand respect is earnd but Cov Cath was beaten buy a very good team last night and if not for a few misfortunes could have won. I am still waiting to here from the Cov Cath fans that said that there is no way JC could run for that many yards against them and how THEY feal JC will do against HHS.

Game speed it looked like he was trying to strip the ball. Game film, he definatley threw a puch after the play was over. No doubt he was a heck of a player but he let his emotions get the best of him. He was super aggressive on every play and crossed the line with the last one.

Slide a couple of hot hands in between your layers of socks around your toes. It works for me.

Does this mean Johnson Central is off of Boyle's shedule next year? I hope not.

JC subbed every player they had on defense and special teams (every kid that could walk and had on a uniform played). WC left their starters in on offense and defence, scoring at will in the second half. It took a perfect storm to break the record. One coach willing to do it, the other willing to let it happen. It would have been impossible to break the record on a running clock and that is what you would have had if WC would have quit on-side kicking and throwing bombs all over the field against freshmen. WC's coach acted like he was in the game until late in the fourth. Congrats to JJ and the entire team (let's not foget there was a team record broken also). I'm glad it's over and nobody got hurt, on to the Montgomery game for a chance for the district championship.

Not defending anything that went on last night, here's a question. What do you think of JC being up by 40, puting in their subs, and Woodford's coach leaving his starters in and throwing on every play against freshmen. I feel like in all sporting events it should be the losing team that should throw in the twel first. Jc started to empty their bench early in the first half, In the second half WC was scoring at will. Would you rathr see JC leave the first team D in and win 60-7 because that would have been close to the final in that scenerio. Let's not forget the thumping WC gave JC at home a few years ago that some found excessive.

It could happen.

I'm with Czar, JC couldn't be asked to put together a harder non-district schedule. JC's enrollment numbers clearly put's them in 5A. I for one hope the KHSAA puts us where we belong in 5A, and we schedule Boyle, Bell, Belfry, and Highland as non-district opponents. I would also like to see us put Paintsville back on the schedule for the Apple Bowl. I'm sure someone would gripe that would be too easy of a schedule though.

The base runner that made contact was the runner on first not the batter. On contact he froze when the first baseman broke for the ball he broke for second and knocked him down.

Exact call I made. Here's what I think, You can not assume the out on the batter. The rule is infield fly if fair. Should be one strike on the batter, runner on first is out.

You made the same call I made. I feel it's the wrong call. Think about it.

Let me say first of all that I have been a student, player and coach of the game of baseball my entire life. I decided this year to try my hand at Cal Ripken umpiring. I thought it would be easy but came away with a new respect for umpires. Anyway, here's the play: Runner on first and second no count on the batter and one out. Batter hits pop fly one foot in front of the first base bag. Firstbaseman has an easy play on the ball but the runner runs over him before he touches the ball. The ball rolls foul.Runner on second goes to third. Make the call. I blew it during the speed of the game but I think I got it now.

Who was the pitcher?

If you want the truth I will give it to you. I am a huge JC supporter but if they don't do something quickly with their middleschool program then Paintsville will be stronger than ever. Matney has done a good job with the football team and his program is in great shape. Hall has done well with his baseball program, and it is in great shape also. There is going to be a new coach at the middle school in baseball, so time will tell how that pans out. Tommy mckenzie and his basketball program is who I feel sorry for. It seems to me he is doing a good job but the way they are handling their middle school basketball program is a joke and is going to destroy the high school team. The TRUTH is alot of the better athletes still love to play basketball and will go elsewhere if they are denied a LEGITIMATE chance to compete and develope. JC is a big school but still relies on multiple athletes for multiple sports. The way that middleschool basketball program is being run is going to hurt all sports. Alot of JC posters on here know who I am and may think this is the voice of an unhappy parent. This is not the case, because both of my sons are very happy wrestlers, and I am tickled to death that they are mature enough to see for theirself what a circus that is going on down there. I bleed black and gold and my kids are going nowhere, but the making of SUPERSTARS in the middleschool will cause all programs at JCHS to loose athletes. That is the TRUTH.

You wouldn't happen to chew tobacco would you? As far as the field goal attempt it looked staight down the middle to me but the officers directly behind the goal posts said it was wide right.

I can't argue. Something else I was impressed with was your QB's poise. Highlands had at least two huge broken pass plays , one for a touchdown the other was a screan play that was busted to the left, he scrambled and then threw right back to the left with the screen still set up. That was a wierd play. I don't see how that happened without a lineman being down field.

JC could almost score at will against highlands. Highlands could almost score at will against JC. The differance was how quickly highlands could do it. Highlands had no answer for JC's running game. The differance was deffinatley the stripped ball ran back for a touch down. (Big man got some wheels!) I left the game feeling like JC can play with anyone but Highlands big play capability was deffinatley the differance in the game and showed who was the better team. Another huge differance in the game was the personnell going both ways for each team. In the fourth quater collinsworth was the only player I saw for highlands who was winded. Jc had way more people going both ways and were spent. We have great young players at JC. We have at least three soph's and one fresh that start on defence. Our seniors played great and I applaud their effort, but the rest of the state is going to have to contend with JC for awhile. ON a side note I hope the Highland faithful could see that Ian Welch should be first team all state with the way he covered Collinsworth all night who had very good speed and probably the best route runner I have seen in high school. I may be a homer but I feel Chace Richardson (#7) should be an all-stater also. In the end Highlands had too many weapons for a young JC team to cover. Best of luck to you. I hope you win it all and look forward to seeing this game next year at Fort Thomas. Did anyone get to try a DQ hotdog?

All of theses restaurants that are mentioned besides DQ you can stop and eat at in any town any where. There is only one DQ like the one in paintsville.

Don't forget the slaw. I talked to the owner of Dairy Queen, he said show up with a Highland t-shirt and get a deal. (he'll love me for that one. ) I venture to say that you never pass through Paintsville again without wanting to stop by and grab a footlong.

Do not ,I repeat DO NOT come to paintsville without trying the Dairy Queen hot dog with sauce and slaw. You can thank me latter.

The team JC plays was last years national champs for their class. They came to the states last year and drummed a team from cleveland. They were also undefeated last year. I'm not saying they are good or bad just stating some research I have done on them.

That is not the same team that JC will play.

The last and only time I remember was 1988.

14-6 jc

Dials went down in the montgomery game and Welch went down in practice.
