westsider Posted July 30, 2009 Author Posted July 30, 2009 Shelbyville wins 10-8 ... Ashland had a hit batsman and a double to the wall to start the ninth, but the runner made a poor decision to go home and was thrown out by a mile. The rally died from there.
solidbluex2 Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 The runner didn't make a poor decision, the coach did. The coach sent him, he didn't just run. Ashland would have had its hottest hitter coming to the plate with the tying run in scoring position, but the poor decision really cost them.

Both coaches agreed to declare the game over while in a rain delay. Thursday's schedule Game 9: *Ashland vs. Owensboro Game 10: *Danville vs. Metcalfe County Game 11: Paducah vs. Shelbyville Game 12: *Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner *-elimination game
