WOW...I surely hope this is not true! If it is, this tells me that the powers that be want a football team and not a football program! I really feel bad for the players, yeah they may have fun, but what happens when Baldridge retires?? Another new coach, new system...same old song and dance...If this is untrue, then the powers that be can still think about the future of RC football and make a decision based on what is best for RC!

Hats off to the Lady Vikings...great job making believers out of the doubters...The Lady Vikings and Coach Thomas should be mentioned for the simple fact that he took a relatively young team, scheduled them against very good teams, and showed them first hand how good they would have to be to be considered the best! Their record, 12-18 after last nights loss, looks horrible on paper until you look at who they played...He taught them how to win, and all I can say is "Watch out in '06-'07"...I seriously doubt coach Thomas is even thinking of other jobs...he will have the weapons next year to take Rowan County to STATE...Amber Riddle, great game...just be careful when punching the hardwood floor...it's a good way to break your hand...congrats on all-tourney team! Tell your BITTER teacher hey for me!

Rumor has it interviews were held yesterday...3-4 quality coaches...Should know who the new coach will be soon...

Boyd Co. could have made this a close game, but they struggled making shots right at the basket...On numerous occasions without a hand in their face. At the same time, take nothing away from Rowan Co. as they played the type of game they needed to to win...Rowan County's #20 played a great game...and if she reads this post...her shot got "bitter" each time...great game amber!

Good teams overcome Bad Draws...I would rather beat a good team 1st round than a sub-par team! I think this entire Region has the determination to go all the way...Good Luck to all teams...go Lady Pirates!

Hoosiers...even if you aren't the underdog in the fight...

This was a game that could have been much closer. Both teams made some mistakes during the last 3 minutes that could have made a big impact. That being said...Russell played best and deserved to win that game. Both teams have had solid seasons, and Rowan has nothing to hang their head about...Maybe next year Vikings!

Is this the same Jamie Johnson that graduated from Bracken Co. in 1999?? If so he would be an excellent choice, as I announced a couple of his games in High School. He knows his stuff!

Coach Ballard is definitely one of the best coaches to play for. Each player will get a great opportunity under Coach Ballard to develop their game. Morehead State is a great school and is in a great community. Mr. Morgan, you will enjoy your time at MSU and I wish you the best of luck!

Keep your heads high Panthers, you have nothing to be ashamed of...You bring a lot of excitement to the small town of Augusta...All they want from you is to play your best...You did that!

Heard on the radio that interviews will be on the 13th...No names though...Depending on how the boys and girls do in region, there may be a new coach in time for spring ball!!!

They will contend this year...Like it was mentioned before...The Seniors respect Coach Varney, as well as the younger guys...so look for them to do great things this year!

Don't you think that is very unsportsmanlike to say...It is tournament time and anything can happen...Brossart is a favorite in this one...I just hope they don't leave you eating your own words...Good luck Lady Panthers...

I wish I was privy to that information...I'd really like to know...Rowan is being very hush-hush about this...does that mean they want to keep it like that or does it mean that they haven't even started yet? I hope they take this seriously because they have great potential to be successful when they get back into district.

Being from Bracken Co., I know how much Augusta and Bracken got pumped up to play against eachother...so I can just imagine how much the Augusta fans and players are ready to roar! Good luck boys, Mason is a helluva team! Show 'em your small-town pride!
