  1. What a game.. SC's other biggest, was just this past year. They went to Leslie County, winner played in the Regional Championship. After being down 19-6 at the half, they had an 11 minute (yes 11 minutes) drive on Leslie, and ended up winning 20-19. If an offensive line ever deserved any credit, it was these boys. They did something extraordinary that night.:ylsuper:
  2. After seeing Boyd playing my Cards, I don't think they'll let up in this game. Boyd is a pretty big team, and got a heck of a back in Gatlin Barker. #22 MLB for Boyd was also a BEAR.:fight: I pick Boyd in this one by a few TD's.
  3. Even without him, this shouldn't be much of a game. And, I don't expect Hager to play him much against KCC or Fairland next week. Save him for 3 weeks down the road, when you're going to need him.
  4. Very, VERY, impressive post!:ylsuper: :thumb:
  5. Not 100% sure, but I think Sheldon Clark goes to Belfry.
  6. Yeah, I'd defintely go to the Ashland-Russel game.
  7. This game may be at the "Dawg Pound", but I honestly can't see Lawerence competing with Belfry. Might be close in the first, but Belfry should win by a couple of TD's.
  8. To say Belfry has already won this district is nonsense. Belfry goes to SC this year. And lets face the facts. No matter how good you think you are, you can never rule out P-Burg OR Shelby Valley for that matter. Both teams will defintely give it their best.
  9. Well, I guess I can go ahead and make my prediction... I look for Sheldon Clark to run through Boyds defense until Boyd starts putting 8 or 9 in the box. Then SC will probably open up the passing attack. SC fans know SC can actually pass this year :sssh: My guess is this will be another shootout, with SC barely dropping Boyd. Sheldon Clark - 34 Boyd County - 27 :dancingpa
  10. Defintely a better game.:ylsuper:
  11. Yea, I wouldn't be suprised if this game was just another shootout for SC. The Lawerence County - SC game was actaully closer than the score said. I think it was 22-14? at half with SC winning and Lawerence getting the ball. The Cards defense stepped up in the end though, and Lawerence just didn't have what they needed to stop the Dials kid and that BIG o-line. Let's go Cards!:ylsuper:
  12. Yea, I think it will be a real close game with Belfry coming out on top. Ashland: 22 Belfry: 24 :ylsuper:
  13. Hard to call a game like this, being so early in the season.. I'd say this will be a hard-hitting game, and I look forward to watching it.
  14. I'm also pretty sure no one in district 8 will want to play Belfry Pburg or Sheldon Clark for the second time in a year. This district is going to be pretty tough this year.:flame:
  15. That still doesn't give them a reason to score 79 points. That truly is sickening. That's not right for the Phelps players who've actually worked hard, and the parents who try to support what little of a program they have left..
  16. Defintely.. And you know Hager will have a few words on how SC's defense played tonight. And sad thing is, I didn't think the O-line for SC played very good. Dials broke a lot of that by himself.. Backfield tonight looked great. Way to go Cards!:dancingpa
  17. Eh, not particularly.. We all remember two years ago when Belfry came to "The Rock".. I think it was 42-6? Not 100% sure. Maybe 49-6.
  18. Spet 22, 2000 Sheldon Clark beat Lawerence County 34-16 at "The Rock".
  19. Lynn Camp vs. Middlesboro Sheldon Clark vs Boyd County And one I'm really looking forward too... Ashland vs. Belfry:laugh:
  20. If we're going with team speed, then SC can contend with JUST ABOUT anybody. And even if people dislike these two teams. they know it's ONE OF THE MOST PHYSICAL games in the mountains. Come on guys, we know these two respect each other;) , but out on the field, all these players want to do is cream the man in front of them. A great rivalry, and I look to see some BIG hits. But like I said, this game is at "The Rock" and that will be big, IMO. You don't go to "The Rock" and push SC around. They've had some pretty big wins there. I'll pull one out. Was it 2001-2002 when Ashland played SC at SC in 3A? Now that was a game:flame:
  21. I was actually suprised to Sheldon Clark up so high. Not taking anything away from my Cardinals, but I was taken aback to see them up in the top 10 this early. Way to go Cards!!:ylsuper:
  22. After seeing how Sheldon Clark played against Perry County Central, I have to go with the Cardinals. The line, (though not as good as last year) is a whole lot better than everyone anticipated. The backs played great, and QB Damen Henseley looked really comfotrable behind the line. Plus, this game is at "The Rock". A really physical game, that Sheldon Clark takes away. Sheldon Clark - 22 Lawerence County - 16 Lets go Cards!:dancingpa
  23. I must say, I was HIGHLY impressed with Sheldon Clarks performance. QB Damen Hensley had a great night, and all three backs in SCs backfield had a great game too. SC can defintely use some work on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully Coach Hager will send the Cards through a few more tackling circuits this week. Other than that, the defense played all right. However, I was most impressed with Sheldon Clarks offensive line. They may have lost three all district lineman, but they still had the ball control team they had last year. I think the o-line shut a few people up tonight. I look forward to watching this team play this year. :dancingpa
  24. Isn't Perry County Central there as well? I was under the impression the three teams were switching in and out with each other.
