Not sure if there were any players from the separate private school divison or not. There were players from private schools in the game though.

The only problem that I would see is rain. Right now with only games on three days, games can be pushed back and not cut into rest or into another round. Dunbar and Clark County had to postpone a game in their semi-state and it didn't hurt them, but if they still had a lot of teams left, it would throw a wrench in it. I do like the idea though. I would love to see double-elimination like the girl's do in softball (though pitching is not an issue in softball).

My wife and I will be there as well as my sister-in-law and niece from Michigan. Good thing that my wife and her twin sister are football fanatics or I would be suffering an estrogen overload with three ladies.

Heard talk of cutting track back to two classes.

Just some random thoughts I have been wondering. Do you think that a person can win this award and not be on the radar screen before the season? Will the change in deadline for submission of votes affect the outcome? In other words, will it ever come down to who won state? Are the votes made public?

I don't believe that he was saying that Chris Leak went to Florida, just that the school that has won 90 in a row is the alma mater of Chris Leak and the current Georgia QB.

What a great honor for a fine man and coach. Had the pleasure of watching his team win the state in 2003 (I believe). He is turning out good wrestlers and good men.

West Liberty is my alma mater. There is a Campbell County wrestler from a few years ago that is wrestling at West Liberty. Good luck to Corey as a Hilltopper!

I knew that they were ranked #25 after the regional finals, but now they have moved up to #19. Way to go Lady Eagles.

Sorry Mr. No Name, I don't see how Rose Hill can be in the top 10. They have lost all of their big guns over the past two years. They are very young and inexperienced. I believe that in a couple of years they will be good, but not next year.

any rationale? I know Iroquois was young this year as well as LCA.

Excellent idea. There can only be one winner of Miss Basketball (has there ever been co-Miss Basketball winners?). There are a lot of fine candidates. And unlike a politician, the winner does not have to make any decisions that affect the public. So let's celebrate with the winner as we know the accomplishments of the candidates.
