Just some random thoughts I have been wondering.

 

Do you think that a person can win this award and not be on the radar screen before the season?

 

Will the change in deadline for submission of votes affect the outcome? In other words, will it ever come down to who won state?

 

Are the votes made public?

No. it will never come down to who wins state and for that very reason I would assume.

Sure, I think think that it would be possible for a player to avg. good numbers in previous years and then have a super senior season, but it would have to be super.

Normally, Ms. Basketball is someone who was on the all-state team during their junior year and/or maybe their sophomore year too. There has been some debate whether the coaches should just consider the senior or all the years. IMO, I think you need to consider all the years because it is based on their career. Most of the time the stats speak for themselves.
