After just reading the 2006 playoff instructions from the khsaa website it is my understanding that Somerset will be hosting the 3rd round game. It sais "The highest seed (finishing position in district) shall host the regional championship game (3rd round)".

Southwestern 49- Pulaski Co. 7

Assuming that Southwestern beats Pulaski Co. friday night I think they will play again in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Lots at stake with this game more than likely the winner is the #4 seed in playoffs and the loser goes home. Cumberland 28 Lynn Camp 21 good luck to both teams.

Ugly fast!! The clock will run the 2nd half. This game should give Somerset the opportunity to work on the running game.

Last regular season game here in Somerset.

Somerset came away with a win at probably the last football game ever to be played at Evarts High School. Somerset had 425 yards of total offense, 201 passing and 224 running. Evarts had 311 yards of total offense, 91 passing and 220 running. Both teams had 11 1st down in the game.

Beginning of the 4th quarter Somerset 49- Evarts 6.

6:56 remaining in the 3rd still 42-6. Evarts fumbled a reverse Somerset recovered. 1st and 10 on Evarts 45.

With 4:31 remaining in the 2nd quarter its Somerset 35 Evarts 6. Evarts touchdown came on a kickoff return.

Thanks for the explanation of the events this should hopefully clear some things up. I was just defending the fact that "The Truth" stated that Somerset makes excuses when they lose and that I for one don't. I don't believe that Coach Cobb makes excuses either, he seems to be a very straight forward man with his football team. As for the infamous quote I read what everyone else did in the newspaper, I always look at statements like his with hesitation because the media prints what they want to so they can sale papers.

Will this game be at admiral stadium or is Boyle Co.'s field ready to be played on yet.

The fans of Somerset are not "They" as you refer too. Coach Cobb made those comments about Williamsburg not anyone else. I for one make no excuses when the Jumpers lose.

You are 100% correct!!! Any team has its share of bad and obnoxious fans...Somerset is no exception. I think that the difference here is for 1. These fans were not young inmature teenagers and 2. My particular incident did not involve a small number of adults but 15-20 on the visitor side and a larger amount in the west endzone shelter. These two groups yelled back and forth the whole game yelling things that can't be talked about here. The incident where we left involved a couple getting in my face telling me how dirty we here in Somerset teach our kids to play. I'm not sore with the Williamsburg people, however I don't want to be harassed again this year by the same people. In my book there are not one reason that adults from another team need to be on the visitor side starting trouble, those people are the ones that make a whole school look bad.

I agree with DragonPappy 100% with his statement. I have been to football games all over the state of Kentucky and have NEVER been treated as bad as I was two years ago in Williamsburg. The 20 some fans that came to the so called visitor side just wanted to start trouble and nothing more by yelling back and forth with other Jacket fans under the shelter in the west endzone.
