Somerset 4-4 (4-0) @ Lynn Camp 3-5 (2-2)...Thoughts and Predictions?

Seems like LC is down this year, but this game has been a good one over the past few years. If the classes weren't being changed, you might even say it was a rivalry. Anyway, the LC backfield could have a huge game if Somerset doesn't tackle well. Somerset's offense should put points on the board but this will be a good test to see how far the defense has come along. Also, game is at LC, which could factor into a lot of things.

If anything that should make Somerset more of a favorite. LC has not won a home game this year. If Lynn Camp is going to have a chance they are going to have to control the clock and move the football, and keep Deaton and Cole off the field. Deaton is the most underrated QB in the state, and LC has to limit his touches. On offense Lynn Camp needs to do a better job, at finishing drives. The first half against Cumberland they were deep in Cumberland territory 4 or 5 times and couldn't finish, that can't happen against the Jumpers.

Lynn Camp needs to rally after their showing at Cumberland (not taking anything away from cumberland!) Last year was an awesome game between these two teams, but IMO, Somerset has too much speed for Lynn Camp, but Lynn Camp seems to be the more physical team. Since Somerset handed Cumberland a big "whoopin", I'll say S:54 LC:35

Somerset by 20+. Don't think home is kind to the Cats this year, and the road ain't been all that great, either. Somerset has all of the stuff that gives us trouble.

At this point, It won't help Harlan if LC beats Somerset, the district title will still come down to the last week. If Lynn Camp is able to score 28 to 35 points as a lot are predicting, I would be surprised if Somerset would score 40 or 50, only because Lynn Camp will be controlling a lot of the clock. Lynn Camp has had mostly long drives all season, and not as many big plays for tds. 28 to 35 points from Lynn Camp would mean 4 or 5 long drives. From a LC side of it I would like to see it. Turnovers have also really hurt LC this year, and that is a big reason that LC is playing for a playoff spot Friday and not a district title. Lynn Camp will have to play their best game of the year to beat the Jumpers.

What turns will the road have to take for LC not to make the playoffs?
