I've always wanted to see a possible Somerset vs. McCreary Central game because of proximity and possible fan interest in McCreary Co.. I don't see this happening anytime soon but would still like to see it. My prediction Williamsburg 35 McCreary Central 18

I think that the strong non-district schedule will pay off in district play and the playoffs assuming someone else can step up and help out John Cole. He can't do it all every game, especially 6-7 games in the season.

Anyone want to weigh in.

Franklin Co. can play the JV team after the 1st quarter if they choose to.

I'm here to eat crow about the 700 yards passing against SW :creepy: . I didn't have the stats in front of me, I thought that Danville had thrown around 300 and Somerset 300 +.

You seem to have some chip on your shoulder because I'm not a SW hater...:confused: I'm a fan of ALL local teams and will support them throughout. I'll give credit to Southwesterns run D but the fact still remains that the pass D needs to improve alot to make a deep run into the playoffs. Coach Anderson is a great coach and I'm sure he would relate to you the same, giving up 700+ yards passing in two games isnt going to get it done with the power 3A teams.

I think that this was a combination of Southwestern's run defense and Somerset's so far lack of a running game. When you have a great team and great program like Southwestern and your expectations are high, people are going to be more critical of your teams performance.

South Laurel has a very good team and program.

Warren East is 2-0 with two blowouts of somewhat lesser opponents and Somerset is 0-2 with losses to Franklin Co. and Southwestern. Warren East returns much of there team from last year that finished 7-3 and lost to Somerset 35-7. My early prediction is Somerset 35 Warren East 28.

Very good point. When your that small of a school you need to stay healthy for district play, thats what counts!

Much closer than I anticipated!! Good game Jumpers, no reason to hang your head. Somerset led most of the 1st half and hung around in the 2nd half with a chance to take the lead late. I'll take this good performance into next week with Warren East.

I just left the Meece Middle and it seems that several people are already there getting ready for the pregame festivities.

If fingers are going to be pointed, point them at three local schools because all three schools split the money from the Ray Correll Bowl.
