Somerset vs. Warren East Prediction and Discussion

Featured Replies

Warren East is 2-0 with two blowouts of somewhat lesser opponents and Somerset is 0-2 with losses to Franklin Co. and Southwestern. Warren East returns much of there team from last year that finished 7-3 and lost to Somerset 35-7. My early prediction is Somerset 35 Warren East 28.

Anyone want to weigh in.

Warren East 30-28.

I said Somerset 35-27. I can't see Deaton & Co. dropping to 0-3. That non-district schedule should really help them down the stretch, assuming noone goes out injured.

I think that the strong non-district schedule will pay off in district play and the playoffs assuming someone else can step up and help out John Cole. He can't do it all every game, especially 6-7 games in the season.

The Briar Jumpers need another receiver to step up and help out Cole. If not, they will start using bracket coverages on Cole and SHS will turn one dimensional.

I think it will be a good game I seen somerset play Franklin Co. and Franklin County never really stopped them. that QB is a player, and 83 is too, if the rest of the team steps up they could knock off a few teams. Good luch somerset hope you get home before 3 this time.

Deaton and Cole 35. Warren East 13

The bus ride may get the Briar Jumpers.

Deaton and Cole 35. Warren East 13

13 Points is an interesting prediction for a team that has scored 113 points in two games, that is playing a team that has given up 100+ points in two games.

No saying East will roll, but I'd look for a lot more points on both sides to be scored than 13.

Have to go with the Raiders on this one. This could turn out to be their best team ever with 17 starters back from last season. The schedule outside the district needs work, but I'm sure that Ben Bruni will work on that as soon as he can.

This one ought to be a real fun game to watch...everybody break out the calculators!

And you Jumper fans, by best regards to my old Head Coach at BGHS, Wilson Sears! Tell him that a little center (#57), a senior 30 years ago this season, says Hey!:D Please tell him that we are planning on honoring that team this season...it was our first ever perfect regular season and our first district title that year!:thumb:

Somerset 42

Warren East 35

Jumpers take this one late in the game...

Well, the Raiders did score just 7 on Somerset last season. ;)

Which Somerset will show up? The team that got bombed by Franklin County or the bunch that gave Southwestern (who battled Danville tough) all they wanted?

I suspect it will be close, whether it's high-scoring or not.
