They still need to play better defense but until someone in the district holds them under 60 its a moot point.

Wow, potent offensive show!

They did'nt punt the 1st time until 3 minutes to go in the game. I don't think a timeout was ever called by either side, either. Jumpers sound scary. Good win tonight, though.

Jumpers roll once again. What I liked was the offense really spreading tonight. Sure it was mainly Ross Deaton to John Cole, but Deaton was able to find other recievers and keep the defenders on all of them. John Coomer caught a few balls and Kenny Hughes and A.T. Hunter pulled off some really good plays. If the defense shapes up this team will be walking into the Section to play Beechwood.

Awesome Somerset team They have had a top 5 1A teams in the state IMO 3 of the last 4 years. So lets see what they do with it. Wburg dug a 3 td hole and could never recover. Good luck LC, Harlan, Evarts and Pineville.

Good game for the Jumpers tonight. Offense really put on a good showing without any turnovers. Defense still gave up the "big plays." Somersets Secondary will need to step it up in the following weeks. All of Williamsburgs big plays were through the air.

If Somerset had not of played up until the district schedule nothing would have changed except they may have scored more points because Cland and Wburg would not had seen film on them.

Somerset defense is not very good, Williamsburg could have scored 3 or 4 more TDs if Frazier had pulled a few passes down. 2 of those touchdowns were on Kickoff returns.....botched special teams by Williamsburg. Basically it was a shoot out with Williamburg beating themselves because of miscues...

I really don't know that the Jackets made that many mistakes. Somerset just moves the ball great when they have it. Speed kills and the Jumpers are loaded with it. They are going to be a tough out for anyone.

What he said. Cole is so fast but Deaton makes the team. I knew he was good but he is very very good. Not sure what his college plans are but IMO he would be an awesome fit at Georgetown although I believe he could play 1AA or even 1A.

But if Pikeville gave up 28 to Phelps it could end up 70-70.:thumb:

Williamsburg obviously needs to work on their 2-3 zone and the half court trap.
