It was 3-0 Trinity after 1 quarter when Highlands started subbing very liberally on defense. Trinity did not sub nearly as liberally on the O side until late in the 4th quarter. Trinity would have won the game that day regardless of the sub situation. It was played exactly like a game in that time was kept, etc., but Highlands subbed much more liberally on D than they did at any time during the regular season (excluding the blow out wins). So, Trinity scored some on Highlands second and third team as well. As for the thread topic, the rankings... Trinity The rest (I don't care, my boys got their ring)

Let's face it TOG, there are posters on both sides showing a lot of confidence. Honesty, it doesn't matter how much confidence is exhibited by the fans, both teams will be ready come Friday and will expect nothing but the best effort from the other team. Not the whole game, but they did double team him on more than a few occasions. Also, most of CovCath's running success was not up the middle, it was when the back ran to the outside edge of the tackle.

Spot on...same can be said for the multiple comments made by CovCath football players to Highlands students a few weeks back. They are all young people excited about this opportunity. Nothing more, nothing less.

CovCath also had a short field after the punt return in the 3rd quarter. CovCath started at the HHS 25 and scored a TD.

To answer this question, Run to State, Littleluck55 and anyone else that was questioning the issues with the punting game, the regular long snapper hurt his hand early in the game so the back up long snapper was playing. As few times as the regular long snapper has snapped in games this year, the backup has snapped it even fewer times (try zero). So yes, they will be working on this a lot in practice this week.

Apologies up front for the low resolution, but I think this pic shows the "wide open" CCH receiver on the last play. I tip my hat to Chad Bowden, who is the one leaping directly in front of the receiver. He gave his all on this play to make sure the pass wasn't completed.

For the most part yes, but when CCH had 1st and goal at the one after the fumble recovery, the Highlands D line rose to the occcasion and handled the CCH O-Line and kept them out of the endzone.
