:irked: you are right. It comes off as defensive, and judging by the responses, intimidating to some of the folks on here who for some reason seem afraid to stand behind their comments. Being from Harlan, and not a coach but a Dad and a fan, I can tell you your program stands for itself. And your preparation shows in your fine team and program. But that is mirrored across the mountains, by coaches, who I dare say spend as much time and effort, for less recognition and money. It does them a dis-service IMO to air out your frustrations in public. And I'm betting your wishing your players weren't reading this on this forum ( at least I hope you are ). Your kids will get you to the top 10. They usually do when it counts.

Defense ranked in state, played strong against Breathitt (ranked 2A team). Shut out Hazard at home (not been done often), and Overwhelmed Lynn Camp ( ranked team). Again read my earlier post dude.( or dudette as the case may be)

:thumb: As much as I love seeing my Dragons in there, I agree Pikeville should be in there as well. Playing Belphry to within 4 points is a statement to me. I bet if we have a slip next week among the bottom 3-4, the Panthers will make an appearance.

Skins absolutely in contention. My only concern is the coaching staff needs to discipline that certain kid who is too good a player to need to hurt his team with his attitude and mouth. Maybe the ejection got his attention. If not, he will never live up to his potential. To me its a coach's responsibility to control his players.

Well, you are right in a way, but the way I see it, Harlan's D was playing a much better offense than the Campers were. I guess I watch the front 4 a little much, cause that is where my heart is. I thought that our front D took the big guys out of the game for LC, forcing the runs outside. The vaunted huge line for LC were not a factor IMO. #75 is a great looking lineman though. With a great back like Roscoph, you are going to give up some yards, but they were not up the gut. Our offense is our weakness, we are very uncertain and tentative, and will have to improve to go far in the playoffs. Again, I still give more cudos to the Dragon D as they were playing a better offense. Back to Breathitt and again in this game, if our O could capitalize on the opportunities our Defense gives them, we are 6-0, and the LC score may have been ugly. And how can you discount the big stop on the one. Go Dragon D! Also, special teams are a part of the team, so cudos to them. Thats defense too.

IMO this isn't any more funny than Somerset vs Danville coming out any differently than the reg. season game.

:ylsuper: Dragon defense unaffected by the Camp's big front line. Dominated this game. Dragon's offense still searching for consistency, but came through when it counted. Roscoph (sorry for spelling) a great back, but couldn't do it all.

NO I might if I were a 4A or a soon to be 6A school. That is why I like the All A B-Ball classic, gives us little schools a chance to compete on a State level

:irked: There will be plenty of hard hitting going on between the Dragons and the Campers. If you want 4A football, go to Louisville. If you want to see some of class A's best linemen hitting each other, go to the Camp on Friday.

I agree with the waggle-meister on the concept, but I already see the hunger in the Dragons' eyes. Lynn Camp has a good front O line and a credible offensive threat, but the Green Machine will begin to roll once more and defeat the campers 28-14. In the meantime the Harlan offensive gurus must inspire leaps and bounds improvements in their players looking toward the better passing defenders, such as Middlesboro, but most importantly Williamsburg and the Briar Jumpers in order to grab that District Crown. This week, though its all about Lynn Camp. One step at a time. Harlan 28 Camp 14

I agree about the defense. They gave the offense opportunities, and made a couple of nice stops inside the red zone. Harlan shot themselves in the foot and had couple of bad breaks on offense, but no more than the Bobcats did.

Of course a small class A school has to be a huge underdog in this situation. We in Harlan are just excited at having a chance to challenge a program like the Bobcats. Friday will tell. :thumb:
