Wow, is Bath county really the next best team in 1a outside the top 10. What a turnaround for that program.

Beechwood loses to the #1 team in DIII in Ohio and drops a spot....:confused: Also Highlands loses to the #1 team in the state and drops..This kind of stuff makes no sense to me. I guess what they are saying is play bad teams and win and you will be rewarded...:irked:

Well if a loss or a win either one can move you up as we have seen, I think they should be 3rd in the poll behind Mercer and Russell, I dont think western has played the kind of schedule that Belfry, Belfry's only loss was in ot to ashland. Where do you think they should be? Belfry beats East Ridge and drops in the poll.. makes no sense to me.

Maybe one spot, over Trigg Co, but its debatable.

 

I think Mercer, Western and Russell all deserve their ranking ahead of the Pirates. Beyond that you could make a case for several teams in the 4-7 range, IMO.

I don't think it is a case of Belfry dropping as much as it was Western pasting a 4A school and leapfrogging Belfry.

 

The first 2 or 3 weeks are tough to rank teams but after a while, you get a better feel for it.

I like this O'Cath not good yet as always struggle early and then creep up on teams in playoffs. I am glad Ft.Campbell getting love too.

Cause that is who you will see again for the Region Championship at Steele Stadium.

I've seen western play. They have some serious team speed. They didn't impress me on the defensive side. But they have a good team that we could face early in the playoffs I believe. They have some cat quick backs for sure.

Not bad for an AP poll. I think Ryle could be higher in 4A, but other than that nothing stands out.

Should know more about Ryle after this week. I think CC might just take this one and leapfrog Ryle.
