I also want to add that I go to ballgames all the time and hear fans attack the team(elliott) I am supporting and saying things to the referees most of the time i dont like what they say but i dont jump on them. Fans are fans. Some are louder than others and get carried away but they pay to watch cheeer scream or whatever. When you single out a fan you are looking to start trouble whether realizing it or not!!!!!!!!!!! I really get on the refs and some coaches(that I know really well) but I have told the biggest part of them(personally) that iam just having a good time with kicks and giggles. Most of them understand. And just for you 85Lived the day after I was hollering at Coach kidwell we were pming each other as friends!! He knows im just being a fan.

I want to clear up the deal that happened in the Rowan/Elliott game. Some have tried and were way off base, and some tried and were almost right but stated they didnt here exactly what was said. Here goes...... The game had gotten pretty physical by both teams and the ref's were pretty much letting it go on both ends. A play happens and a Rowan player gets hurt!!! I "myself" holler and say "thats what happens guy's(ref's) when you let it get out of hand!! A Rowan fan standing up yell's... You need to sit down and shut up____________( my name goes in the blank but i didn't fill it in because they could possibly suspend me for giving away someones identity I think not sure). I am old fashioned and have a lot(too much sometimes) of pride like my great, great great etc grandfather who fought for our freedoms and rights(like free speech and opinions) so I (sitting down) yell why dont you come over here and make me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you mean anyway your on my turf now!The Rowan fan then motions for me to step outside...... I oblige him (just as I would another country if I thought they were treading on my freedoms) and start down the steps to the outside doors. When I start down 4-5 other Rowan fans jump up to( i'm guessing here ) to help him. I keep on trucking in that direction and hear something behind me and instead of one other adult (like someone posted there were 2 adults) there were 21 other's behind me. Anyway the Rowan fan stops the 4-5 supporters of his and goes back up the couple steps he came down after calling me out and sits down. So the Elliott people and I go back and sit down. When Nicole Barr gets her 1000 (I was sitting in the middle of Elliotts side and could hear that side really well) most people on that side cheered and clapped for her including me. There definately was no "booing". Most people don't like me( i dont care) because I am quick to stand up for what I believe in(no im not always right) but I do have enough common sense not to jump on someone when they are in their own area, house, lot, car, building, etc. without a personal provocation which no Rowan fan recieved prior to the incident. I have bore the brunt of this, been reported to the Khsaa(i have been told) possibly by the perpetrator/'s, but I definately 100% didn't start it. I myself was not embarassed by it, but I would have been embarassed if no one else from Elliott had had the courage to stand behind me. :thumb:

All of Elliott's players have developed into nice players. Tthey played a great game today with the freshman really stepping up and taking it to and helping defend HH big men.

According to announcer it was Ferg 34 Ethan 16 or 12 timmy 16 evan 16 or 12

Would have loved to saw this game in person! Listened to quite a bit on radio and it appeared Mason Co shots weren't falling. It appeared to me that the Scott Co defense wore them down and when that happens the shots just dont fall!!!!!

Huntington still has a really nice team regardless of what their schedule is!! Scott Co is proof that the record doesn't necessarily mean anything. Point being anyone who says Huntington High is not very good hasnt saw them play or just doesn't know basketball!

They have 11 on varsity now and everyone of them played . lets not get the thread closed because someone wants to nitpick Elliott coach's style!!!! What would you do if you were Ferg, tell your Coach NO i'm not playing:rolleyes:

It's really no one's concern why he was in except for the coaching staff. They are calling the shots and are 13-1. I Trust their judgement:dancingpa I thought Elliott played really well all the way around. Good job lion's.

Ferguson went out at the 7:00 mark in the fourth. he came back in at 2:48 and played one min and back out. I didnt have to spin it because i have it on film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone needs to call the people who do these polls and tell them to take Elliott out of the rankings that way everyone can sleep at night.

The 10th is way more physical that the 16th. The physical part doesn't bother most people as long as both team's are allowed!! I have seen several games where one team gets to use the padded bats:D when someone goes in for a layup then we run down to the other end and a swipe:scared: is called with very minimal contact. Inconsistency is very aggravating!!:thumb:

Hope he gets it together and don't waste his talent!!!!

Elliott seemed kinda sluggish in the game and even though the shots were off they kept digging. Hopefully they will get on track tuesday 8th!!

Well so far now I have seen the 3 or 4 different rankings listed on this site and none of them are legit according to the posters on here!! Can someone tell me where we can find the "one" that is supposed to be correct. According to people on here BGP's was no good Litk.haus was no good and now Cantrell's is no good??????????????????????????????????

I dont think it was to keep Rowan from getting out of hand because right after the player shoved Knipp and got a T two plays later # 15 for Rowan Blocked Ferg and in the process tore his head off(no foul) he jumped up in Fergs face and did the same scream with his hands clenched like a weight lifter whos showing off his chest. the same ref who t'd Ferg was standing right there.:mad: What Ferg did was not even a show of emotion compared to that kid!!!!!!!!!!!!:madman:

You guys just don't want to get it do you? I have saw where sportsfan of ky has posted several times that Elliott doesn't play their starters the wkole game and you guys act like he never even posted. I have watched Elliott play this year and when you get past the sixth man they are done. The four other guys with one starter in couldn't hold a 40 pt lead for half a quarter. I agree with sportsfan, from what I saw Mays trys to mix it up and has a starter or two(in game I saw it was Ferg and a Faulkner sat out six min. of the second) sat out in second and plays couple off the bench then Ferg and the Faulkner played in the fouth for three or four min. To be honest and say something I am sure Elliott fans aren't going to... They don't have a bench. They might be a "little" effective in the sixteenth region but out of there the bench doesn't have a chance competeing against a Mason or Lexington Catholic type school.

Well this all got started because everybody accused Elliott of doing that(leaving starters in whole game). I have posted more than once that they aren't. I know because my kid is a starter and I posted twice that he is only averaging 2 1/2- 2 3/4 quarters a game in the 16th. No one wants to believe that and let it go. They just keep on and I just keep on defending as would you if shoe was reversed and you had dog in race. For last time If a starter is in in the 4th odds are he sat out the second or if he was in most of second he was out most of 4th!! I know because I have every game Elliott has played in the last 4 years on video!!!

There is a big difference in practice conditioning and game conditioning. Thats why no one wants a layoff during the holidays. You can practice everyday during the layoff and the team with equal talent who played four or five games along with a few days of practice will be in better shape and more on their game first game back after layoff.
