This was a good win for Elliott against an out of State opponent. Does any one have the stats? The only stat I have is Ferguson with 34.

Not as big a margin as I expected.. Huntington High isn't that good of a team.

Looking at Huntington's schedule this year, I'm not surprised that Elliott Co won by double digits.

 

I wasn't expecting them to win by 60, but I'm not surprised by this result at all.

 

Huntington has won 3 straight titles, is that right? Graduated an NBA team last year, difficult to keep winning at a high level when you lose that much.

I can't speak for Huntington because I haven't seem them play. Elliott has a nice record, but they have yet to beat a top ranked team in Kentucky. So Elliott is a top 20 team in the state and they win this game going away.

 

I have seen Scott Co play in person, once, last night and I have followed all their games this year. How they played Mason Co last night is how they have played all year, they are a darn good team with erratic guard play that will end up costing them a trip to Rupp. OR if they get to Rupp, they won't win because of it.

 

Scott Co is a 500 team, regardless of the schedule they played. They have a lost a lot of games because of the competition, but not SOLEY because of the opposition.

 

Anyway, back to Elliott, they are going to get their chance to beat a big name team or two if they advance in the All A tournament.

In regards to the game, Ferguson is putting up some really impressive numbers. He has continued to develop into a very nice player.

Scott is proof that recorddoesn't necess. mean anything will justify that. My utmost apology!!!! All of Elliott's players have developed into nice players. Tthey played a great game today with the freshman really stepping up and taking it to and helping defend HH big men.

I was at the game today and Huntington High has a very good team. They have a good inside game with their two big guys. The guards handle the ball well too, but they don't shoot the 3 especially well. We will see soon enough about everyone's constant criticism that Elliott has not played anyone. Elliott is a very good basketball team and is well deserved of a top 20 ranking.

Nice win for Elliott County. A 16 point win on the road on short rest, and some people still aren't satisfied.
