When dealing in the Covington Public school system its a whole different world than any other system in NKY. Sometimes to help a kid out in the future you have to give a few more chances or else you lose them my man. He is still just a kid.

The CBA when it was still a league that mattered, Holy Cross Alum Turky Jones played.

The only way a program like Bellevue keeps a quality coach for a long period is if the coach is from the Bellevue community. Most good coaches are going to move on to the more competive programs.

They have no coach.

There are two stories I know of that were leaked by people associated with Holmes in some sort of way, that are completly and utterly false. The kid made a mistake, but its not as an extreme as some have heard. He deserved his punishment but if he is truley remorseful and ready to shape up, then he is only a kid and should be given another shot. Only the coach gets that decision not anyone else.

Both keep living the past Williams, Harney, and Clark are all HC alumns.

Like I said I wasn't claiming to know everything nor to share the same opinion most might at CCH. I was just giving an outsiders point of view. I can understand some sour sentiments, that hits all to close to home.

HC has its best pitching staff since 03 this year. I heard Jimmy Ryan's velocity is way up this year, and his pick off move is the best in the area. With that said HC beating Beechwood is an uphill battle. But would be nice.

When they can most schools try and fill as many coaching positions with teachers as they can. Is it true Schrand isn't a teacher? If so I'm sure that played a large role, i'm surprised they have gone this long.

I'm not part of the CCH community, so I won't speak as to if I know whats going on but here are my two cent from outside looking in. 1. Varsity coacing experience trumps any amount of time on JV, even more so when you have had success on varsity. JV and varsity are two totatly different games and philosphies. 2. High school coaching in this area has always been about what connections you have. Kevin Listerman has the connecitons. 3. What Kevin did at Bellvue proves everything to me. 4. I don't even know why this thread is even negative, Kevin coming bolstered an already great staff. In a few years he will take over.

Cooper and Kiernan are very close in my mind. Kiernana has the tools to be a top 5 player, but I don't think he was consistent enough to be considered the 3rd best player in NKY. Hester, Henderson, and Jefferson all should be ahead of him. Top 2 aren't even debatable, excpet for maybe a case could be made they should be flip flopped. Going into this season Hill and Jacobs are without a doubt the best two players.

I think Ryan deserves ahead of Lenhoff, but not Henderson. There could be argument made Henderson is the most talented player returning. Ryan came on strong the second half of the season.

Seems like a cut in pay. But if you love the place, good choice. I wonder who Bezold replaces him with.

Looks about right. Polls are exactly where I thought they would be. Top 3 in the 9th all from the 35th district. I wish SK would of stayed in the 9th region, this was the year I was waiting for. These kids have been on Varsity for 4 years.

I haven't coached middle school in a couple years. But unless something has changed since the time I was in middle school and the times I was coaching Tishnoer (sp?) middle school was a very good program.

Lloyd needs a fresh start and someone outside the program. Any hire within will be the wrong one.

:thumb: The middle school area of Erlanger has produced some very good athletes. The problem has been for quite some time now for a good system on the high school level to attract kids to play ball there. Its not only kids going to other schools, but kids who are in the halls who just don't play. Everyone knows there are athletes there due to the football teams success, they need a good personality or someone passoinate about basketball in that school. I don't think they have a team that was considered for the regional title since 96 and that is a shame.

So 4 games surpasses the whole season. Noll's averages on the season were 10.5 pts and like a little under 5 rebounds a game.

In a very down year in big men for the region. He had good regional tourney, but your not going to convince me he is the better player between him and duran.

Can't find a link on the website listing the whole team. But I read it today in the paper. The biggest mistake was leaving off Duran Jefferson. Say what you want but there was not 12 better players in NKY than him. No way Danny Noll should make any team over Duran Jefferson.

The 9th always fares well during the regular season against the states top compeition, the problem is we never seem to get our best teams down state or we just choke down state. This being because of the year in and year out of parity in the 9th. The year CCH went to semi in state, was an exception CCH was really good and the rest of the 9th wasn't so good. In a normal 9th region year CCH might suffer the fate of other top teams in the past and not make it out.

I just want to throw it out there that I was not discrediting CCH so this is thrown at me later. All I was saying is I think the BIG 3 of the 35th are very close and are the cream of the crop as of right now by far.

Actually both Dane Lantry and the Marcus kid for HC both got plenty of PT during Bibbins tenure at pg. I'm just saying in a district they are playing in there is alot of talent at PG. To be honest with I think Timmy T meant alot more to this team than any other player. He set up the shots for alot of people. TJ is able to create his own shot, but not many others on the proved the could. The new CCH pg very well could prove this wrong. All I'm saying is its a question mark coming into the season. The same way Holmes has a question mark in the front court.
