Trinity won the meet, with Madisonville 2nd and North Bulitt placing 3rd. I think about 12 teams were represented.

At the Spencer County Power Meet today: Tim Phillips of Trinity won the Most Outstanding Lifter Award for all weight classes up to 175 lbs while Dalton Cissell of North Bullitt won the Most Outstanding Lifter for all weight classes 185 lbs and up. Cissell also won the top bench award with a lift of 340 lbs.

I do not understand why this kid was overlooked. North Bullitt played Shelby, Lafayette and Lone Oak this year. The Matthews kid was the best QB they faced. He seemed to have everything you would want in a QB.

What a arrogant comment! A kid with over 5,000 career rushing yards and he wouldn't even get a look at X or Trinity. He has a 3.65 GPA which means he would have at least a 2.0 if he were at "your" school.

North Bullitt senior-to-be RB Dalton Cissell posted a 335 bench, 435 squat, and a 275 clean at Meade this past weekend in the 195 lb class.

North Bullitt - current senior-to-be Dalton Cissell. Will enter his senior season with just over 5,000 career rushing yds. Will get 30+ carries a game in '08 and should finish career somewhere near Top 5 all time in Kentucky.

In the case of Holy Cross, they received a fairly small fine, around $5,000 I think, and they were forced to not allow the head football coach double as the admissions director. The coach was let go by the school. Not good for the coach in question, but they carried on and have not been too negatively affected. The problem with their case was that it took several years of constant prodding by the offending school to finally get it resolved even though it was a clear-cut case of recruiting. The problem lies with the KHSAA that is unwilling to aggressively pursue these cases and come down with harsh penalties when the allegations are proven.

Looks like Pulaski County has another dual threat at QB. Is he as big as the kid they had at QB a few years ago. I forget his name, but he was impressive. About the same time that SW had Renfro I believe.

North Bullitt had 3 kids with 1300+ offensive yds. Dalton Cissell rushed for 1,858 yds. QB's R.D. Reynolds and Jordan Mayberry each had just over 1,300 yds rushing and passing.

Coaches nominate players from their teams that are 1st team All-District. Then the coaches that volunteer to coach each side pick from that combined list. They are encouraged to take two from each team on their side and then pick others to fill out the team.

I truly believe Cissell will have a HUGE year next season. I realize EVERYONE will be keying on him EVERY game, but he will put in the work this off-season and be ready to carry the load next year. It would not surprise me if he betters the 194 yds rushing per game he put up as a sophomore. It was no surprise that his numbers fell off to 144 yds per game this season as both Reynolds and Mayberry had over 1,300 yds each running & passing combined.

Although North does lose a very talented offensive player in RD Reynolds, junior Jordan Mayberry accounted for about 1,400 yds at QB this year in about 6 games full-time and 3 games part-time as well as being named All-District 1st Team QB. With that said, Cissell will carry a much bigger load but things look much better in '08 with the emergence of Mayberry at QB.

Cissell is an extremely hard-working kid with a 3.7 GPA taking advanced classes.
