This one is one of the best high school baseball games I've ever seen. Great pitchers duel throughout. Central took an early 1-0 lead on an error then Model scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to with the game. Both teams had to overcome blown calls from umpires and both teams played their heart out. Great baseball game.

Model is still in the 11th.

If you take out the last week Model should be a top 25 team. Recently we haven't been hitting but it'll come back to us and we have four pitchers who on any given day can beat anyone in our region.

Model has a problem with this too. Except when we are trying to get ready for games our track team is out on the field running. Being part of Eastern Kentucky University we use their track so i feel our track team could either go up there or to the intermueral (sp?) fields across campus instead of trying to fight for the baseball field when we are preparing for a game.

Saw this one coming from a mile away. I thought it would have been a much closer game though.

nWo, MMA dropped out of the Butler County Tournament yesterday for this weekend so Model will not play MMA this weekend. Just letting you know.

Model won the first game 5-2 after a slow start. Model left 10 runners on base in the first game. Model also won the second game 11-5. Estill didn't seem to have very much pitching left for the second game and Model's Jeff Johnson didn't exactly have his best outing. Davis Wells came on to finish both games, pitching 6 innings on the day with 11 k's.

We were throwing and a few playing were goofing off from what I hear. All I know is that he was hit right beside the eye with a ball thrown at him. He was bleeding pretty bad and I believe he blacked out for a little bit. I don't have any other info at this time about it.

After a freak injury to Tyler Ratliff in warm-ups Model came out sluggish. After the bats got going a little bit everything was ok. Chris Combs pitched 5 innings for the shutout. Model improves to 2-0 on the season.

Model's good. We have a good group of senior that have all been playing varsity since 8th grade and four pitchers who can each win a game on a given day.

Michael Bottoms Hit a 3-Run home run for Mercer. I believe he pitched that last 2 innings and gave up 8 runs. I know all of them were not earned not sure on the amount though. I assume you're talking about Justin Morgan. He didn't do very much in this game. He's a good ball player though.

Mercer County jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning and extended it to 6-0. In the 6th Model scored 2 runs and in the 7th Model scored 6 runs to take a 8-6 lead. Davis Wells pitched the last 2 1/3 innings for the win. Model held Mercer County to four hits. Mercer County's 6 runs came on 2 3-Run home runs. In the first game of the night Madison Central and Madison Southern face each other. I see this being a good game for a half but then Central will use their superior depth athleticism to wear down Southern Southern - 62 Central - 76 In the second game of the night Berea will play Model. This will be the third time these teams have met this season with Berea winning both the prior matchups. Everyone knows it's hard to beat a team three times in a season. Model - 65 Berea - 67 In the Finals Central and Berea will face each other for the second time with Central remaining the District Champion. Berea - 58 Central - 77

When I get in a slump, I just keep hitting. My slumps usually consist of hitting the ball right at someone. Baseball is a game of failure. Slumps are part of the game and everyone has them. I believe you just have to keep doing the things you've done to get as far as you've gotten.

I'm sure they do. Many teams do not have their full schedules up yet.

I've played in two district tournaments (well actually only one since I was out with a knee injury last year) but anyway, you can notice the fans in the game. I especially noticed them in the game i sat out of. When you're playing you normally cant hear the crowd anyway so it isn't really that big of a factor.
