Mercer County jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning and extended it to 6-0. In the 6th Model scored 2 runs and in the 7th Model scored 6 runs to take a 8-6 lead. Davis Wells pitched the last 2 1/3 innings for the win. Model held Mercer County to four hits. Mercer County's 6 runs came on 2 3-Run home runs. One Model player and one Model coach were ejected in the top of the 7th.

Michael Bottoms Hit a 3-Run home run for Mercer. I believe he pitched that last 2 innings and gave up 8 runs. I know all of them were not earned not sure on the amount though. I assume you're talking about Justin Morgan. He didn't do very much in this game. He's a good ball player though.

Model's good. We have a good group of senior that have all been playing varsity since 8th grade and four pitchers who can each win a game on a given day.
