Model was up 26-22 at the half but the trend of bad third quarters came back to hurt Model in this one. Sayre moves on to play LCA Thursday which will be followed by Berea and Frankfort. These games will be held at Model.

Sayre (15-2) picked the tempo up with just more than three minutes remaining in the third quarter and got the one run needed to beat Model (4-12) on Tuesday.

 

“I knew it would probably come down to just one run,” Patriot coach Kent Miller said. “I shouldn't have let our guys run. ... We missed a couple of shots in transition and they made theirs.”
