Coach Johnny Poynter was a great addition to the Bellevue staff. he always gets the kids to play hard for him. Congrats to BV!

It was a barn burner! OC dominated the first half and North the 2nd half. Score was 10-9 Oc at the half after a FG with about 7 seconds to go. North scored the first play of the 4th quarter on a 23 yd run by Nic Thome, and that was enough. North got two late picks by Arien Beasley to seal the deal.

He was fired from teaching...which was just smoke because the Super did not like him and took advice by some in the community who did not as well. The problem is that he was not formally observed in the classroom this year to truly judge his teaching/ detention skills- he is teaching in the Alt. School. I believe he will move on to GRC or Dunbar but Bourbon will lose a civil suit on defamation of character because they made up lies to fire him because boosters and super have agendas.

I heard Poynter has a lawyer and has a very good case against the school system. In fact he may have enough money to just coach and quit teaching when all this is over. In fact they may change the name of the new field to Poynter Field.

Heard some very interesting rumours that Johnny Poynter was seen at Dunbar doing some walk throughs. He would be a fine hire for them. He could bring stability back to a program that has tons of potential. He is also able to take doormat programs and make them a winner. If he was given a chance, showed respect and support,(something he did not get at Bourbon) he would be loyal and stay there and build a winner. With what he did at Trimble and Bourbon, he could turn them around in a couple of years. I guess we will see how this all shakes out.

After next year...they will go into the tank like they were before Poynter got there. Superintendent and principal sound like they got their GED's out of a Cracker Jack box.

Governor and jason frakes are pulling for Western, so we must not have a chance. Govenor do you not want to see us in Shelbyville next week?

Scary thing about Western is which Western shows up? The one that beat Ballard and Male, or the Dr. jekyll version?

Bardstown is a very dangerous team. They are definitely the fastest team North Oldham has faced all year. Should be a great game.

how is this District going to shake out? Western is #1 but who is 2 - 3 and 4???

Don't hate Killer Ds-- Oldham -Cal- E-town-Henry are all traditionally pretty solid. They are having down years because we beat them? It's only four games into the season- no one knows how these teams will turn out, or North for that matter.

We hope so that would be in the State Championship game-not bad for a program in their 9th season.

Nation-I don't think anyone cares about the Mustangs-only 66 people have viewed this thread.Probably will not get any votes in AP poll again this week. I guess will still have a lot to do.

With that said...great win for North-great High School game. Oldham will be fine, and should win a lot of games on their schedule.

No dodging check out North's record and OC's over the last six years. Before Matt Brown got to OC-North would have beaten OC those years. Both teams tried to play the last 3 yr cycle but it would have been game 10, and neither Coach Brown or Coach Martin wanted to beat up on each other before the playoffs.

North Oldham won 33-18- Both teams have some things to work on, but both should win alot of games.
