Two potent offenses.

This one is shaping up to be a great game... I'm not so sure about South Oldhams run defense against North Oldham running style and trying to defend that double wing mis-direction offense.

Going with North. They seem to be on a roll. Unfortunately, they will eventually run into Highlands.

We hope so that would be in the State Championship game-not bad for a program in their 9th season.

How good really is this North team?

Very

If North wins this one I'll give them a little more credit. I know all the Mustang faithfull are very happy, I would be too, but they have beaten nobody yet. Unfortunatly my team has become one of the nobody's, at least so far this year.

Don't hate Killer Ds-- Oldham -Cal- E-town-Henry are all traditionally pretty solid. They are having down years because we beat them? It's only four games into the season- no one knows how these teams will turn out, or North for that matter.

I don't hate, I think as much of Coach Martin as anyone, and normaly this schedule would have been brutal, it just so happens that this year none of these teams have been very good and it can make the victor look a little better than they realy are. I would be lying if said I wasn't a little jealous though.

Everyone is talking about North on here, just how good is South Oldham? If I remember correctly, they had North Hardin on the ropes, but three miscues led to 21 quick points... They have beaten Bullitt Central, North Bullitt and Oldham County... Could South Oldham contend for their district championship?

Make no mistake, South is very good and certainly has to be given serious attention.

This game Friday will not effect either team as their district goes but will certainly be looked at as a good barometer to get a feel how far along they both are playing against a higher level of competition.

 

On paper this has the makings of a great game.

If either defense can hold to less than 17 on the scoreboard I would consider that a man-up effort.

Thanks Mustang Nation, being from Eastern Kentucky, I like looking at games that involve teams from within the county or teams that involve a county team and the city team within that county. I believe that I read that this was the first ever meeting between Oldham and North Oldham, is this the first meeting between North and South? Thanks for your input...
