I can't articulate it better than our "wordsmith" Col Mike !

The lack of respect the Mustangs have gotten may just keep a nice attitude provoking chip on the shoulders of this team.

No real surprises in this game as the big boys up front continue to show why it will likely take the best of the best in 4A (or anyone else for that matter) to challenge them and keep the OL from opening the door for no less than five high octane ground gainers for the Mustangs.

Some encouraging pressure coming from the defense but they still need to come together and reduce the big play syndrome that plagued them last night.

3-0 Great Job Stangs!

Xgrad,

You were watching Zack Evans and yes he has burners. A force on North's State championship track team this year and D-1 track recruit as well.

Thanks for the compliment on the stadium. It's taken a while but the grass is finally growing in Goshen.

Nation-I don't think anyone cares about the Mustangs-only 66 people have viewed this thread.Probably will not get any votes in AP poll again this week. I guess will still have a lot to do.

Maybe for now Knute but all we can do is take on a John Wooden approach of "being the absolute best we can be". Screw everything else, and the respect will take care of itself.

As newcomers to the 4A landscape/politics it may take a run into the post season until due respect is acknowledged.

"Build it and they will come."

Just keep rolling.

I know that I have great respect for North Oldham and the program they are building over there.. I coach at Shelby West and we have had our toughest battles with their middle school program and those tough nose kids.. They have a system and they run that system to almost perfection with their mis-direction plays and hard nose running between the tackles and let's not talk about the jet sweep plays and how the line blocks for their running backs....Then on defense, they will come up and hit you right in the mouth...

Hold on partner..... "it will likely take the best in 4A (or anyone else for that matter) to challenge them".

Have you seen Highlands, Boyle Co, Western and Lexington Catholic play football??? I think they might do a little more than "challenge" North Oldham.

MBKT,

Our program would be delighted to play at the level of the fine programs you mentioned. My statement was meant to convey that an average 4A team will not hang with this OL and challenge will come from the better teams.

I wouldn't give north the crown yet. They have a very good well coached team but, the teams they've beaten have 2 wins between them. The beef in 4a will be much more challenging.
