It depends if the wins are dominant wins or not. Talk to Hazard about beating a team X 3. The past two seasons they beat PCC during the season and lost to them in the tournament. Last year PCC beat Leslie during the season but barly beat Leslie in the tournament by one shot. This year PCC beat Hazard during the season and lost in the tournament. I didn't say this was exact science and the odds do favor the better record but do feel that if both teams are competitive and play fairly close during the season that it can become a mental battle and is sometimes hard to win X 3. I'm not sure about being a wealthy man with your strategy. You would have lost a bundle on Bodie Miller in the Olympics.

When will this be voted on?

Many times Team A will overlook Team B and not play with the aggressive attitude needed for a win. That's how upsets happen!!

I think Powell will get lucky on this one. It's hard to beat a team 3 X. Powell by 3

The two district games between these two were not very close but come tournament time things tend to not go as planned. I still think Leslie will come away with the win but the score might be closer. Leslie by 8

I would never tell a team or a player to give up and guit. I admire the smaller schools who go out and play game after game and seldom win. It takes alot of grit for a really talented player to stick it out when their team struggles.

If we are considering who is the best PG then you make a good point. If we are considering who is the # 1 player in the 14th position and style of play is not a factor. Hicks is in the top five but not #1.

Where is the district played this year?

This argument comes around every year. Lets all remember we live in a country that provides us with certain rights. As long as the KHSAA gives districts the choice to vote on this subject, we shouldn't gripe about people acting on that right. It might not be the way I would vote but it is THEIR vote.

Owsley lost to Leslie this week - Tuesday I believe.

The owls havn't shot worth a hoot lately. HaHa I think they will come out of their slump and come away with a win.

Neither team looked great to me. Leslie played a slow tempo game and Owsley missed several easy opportunities to score. Leslie seemed a bit out of sync to me but I think they have a starter out due to injury.

That was not the intent at all. Lee Co is a very good team who has worked hard and improved since last year and deserves a great deal of credit.

Leslie vs Owsley at Leslie - who wins?

Who was the MVP of the tournament? I left before the awards.

Good post. Smith did a decent job on Rich. Rich did work hard and put up some good shots. He does a excellent job getting position. From where I was sitting Owsley just couldn't hit thier shots in the first half. Some of that was from a good defensive Lee Co team and some was just plain missing easy shots. You have to convert on easy shots or the game will get away quick. Same thing happened to Buckhorn, they didn't make their easy baskets and Lee's defense made the hard shots even harder. Not to take anything away from Lee, they played great and make their shots and I for one am proud that they will be representing us in the 14th. The only thing they could have done better was make free throws. Best of Luck in the all A. There are alot of talented players in the 14th and Smith is one of them.

I watched the all A games this weekend and I agree that Gilbert is the #1 player in the 14th.
