When you beat a team with as much hype as Mason Co., you're bound to be excited. __________________________________ From what I've seen lately, there's no way Mason can be considered No. 1 in the state right now. Congrats on a great win for Scott Co. -

Anyone have the final? -
I'm not sure what was going on out there. I didn't see the Panthers team I know out there tonight.

Huge game on the inside and great outside shooting. How did Hamilton do for the Panthers? -
Pendleton Co./ Augusta Predictions 12/20/07
atownjoe replied to ATown Pride's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Deming's game is the 21st, this one is on the 20th. I say Augusta wins if they can keep their big men active on the scoreboard. -

Looks like Augusta's getting the inside game going. Congrats Panthers. -
Augusta Head Coach Robin Kelsch
atownjoe replied to LIVINGOUTADREAM's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I could write a novel about how great Coach Kelsch is, but I'll keep it simple. Robin has always been passionate about the town of Augusta in its entirety. Whether it is the basketball team or the school itself, he has always cared a ton for each and every person. I played for 4 years with Coach Kelsch and was able to help him get to his first Regional tournament *points to my picture* To be able to spend my high school years under the leadership of such a great man has been a great influence on who I am today. If ya smellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...... what THE ROB is COOKIN'. -
Can anyone get me some updates on the game?

Good to see the panthers get that first win out of the way. Any stats on this one? -
Didn't see this one coming. Rough start for the Panthers.

Three Point Line.....Moving Back
atownjoe replied to thewaterboy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
With Augusta's court size, that'd put us in the bleachers. We can't afford to build a bigger gym.. Nicholas County's court is also a tight squeeze in the corners. -

Mason County to Hawaii

Wow, many talented players and teams going to Hawaii. -
I don't see what you're getting at here. Jeremy Hardymon, in my opinion was the best all-around player this year, but there's no way the team focused on him alone. Matt Groves was often the biggest contributor and Josh White was Augusta's floor general for three years. Steven Cummins was definitely necessary for his defense, pressure, speed and agility. None of these players could have made the 06-07 Panthers a "1 man team". Those shorts were definitely my favorite. We also got many comments about how much people liked them in off-season basketball camps. I see nothing wrong with them.

Darius Miller has been contacted by Duke?

Never heard of him... Kidding of course. Duke could use some talent. -

Pretty sweet. -
I have to say that I was satisfied with the ending of my career. Making it to the regional tournament had always been our number one goal. To have the bad legacy of my younger days erased by one game was the greatest feeling. I would have liked to continue on through the regional tournament, but when all was said and done, making it there was glory enough for me.
