We all pile on the Ashland Daily Independent for their less than enthusiastic coverage of ALL area teams. I've heard their reasons/excuses and understand them well.

 

The bottom line is, if we're going to trash them when they fumble, we need to pick 'em up and pat 'em on the back when they do something right. I've attached a link below that is about the classiest thing the ADI has ever done.

 

The link opens a photodocumentary slideshow by John Flavell of the Elliott County Lions' run at Rupp. There's a musical score and it's really well done. I'd like to see the ADI do this every year.

 

Flav-a-flav (Flavell) is one of the best in the business. My only complaint is we don't get to see enough of him and his work in our gym.

 

This will no doubt bring a tear to the eyes of the Elliott faithful.

Pretty sweet.

I saw this earlier and was very impressed and appreciative of their efforts. The slideshow was well thought out and a wonderful tribute to our team.

I think the ADI has done a magnificent job of coverin Elliott County's run to rupp.

I made the remark to my wife last weekend how well the ADI covered Elliott during this run. As I would pick up the paper each time I would find myself surprised with the quantity and quality of their coverage. A great big & sincere thank you to the ADI !

Great slide show and music. I was pulling for the boys, they stayed in our hotel and we saw them leaving for their game vs. WarrenCentral. Told them good luck. They should be making more tripst to the Sweet 16 with all the youth they have.

The last picture in the show, with Coach Adkins consoling Timmy Knipp, made the show. Very well done, ADI.
