Expected this. Since getting beat by Bell, Pineville has one 8 of 10 with and 4 in-a-row. Those two loses in the past 10 games is Corbin (who is playing exceptional ball right now) and Barbourville in the All A. I know the schedule of late is not as tough as their early season schedule but the early schedule seems its paying off and the boys look to be putting together a good run. Despite some recent struggles Cumberland is a good team and they will really tell us all if Pineville has hit stride.

Wasn't expecting this.

Problems can be fixed, Pineville is proof of that. And I believe it was you who asked if Day dominated and from what I've been told he did.

Good win for Pineville. They needed to get a win tonight and thats exactly what they got. If they can beat Cumberland Thursday night at Cumberland then they will be hitting their stride at the right time. Pineville has went through some hard times this year, and could have thrown in the towel for the whole season at halftime of the Corbin game when they were getting beat pretty bad. But they fought back and made some runs, and despite them losing that game it showed fight and they're still fighting. Now they need to win out the rest of the week, and not let Lynn Camp upset them like they did last year in districts. Great win for J.D. and his boys, and an even better job of turning the season around.

I'm not by no means, I'm just saying they were horrible. No Corbin is a really good team.

Pineville is not living up to preseason hype, but people don't need to lose faith in their potential. But Pineville did show a good thing as they didn't give up after gettin down by 24 in the third. Pineville was helped out by Will Lambdin's shooting. That was another positive because Pineville needs a 5th scorer out there for a more balanced attack. Dustin Day played another great game and finally seems to be coming around. And I really want to rip into the refs right now, but I'm not because I enjoy my bluegrasspreps.com membership and I want to keep it, so I'll just leave it at that. Congrats to the Redhounds, they have a real good team and they'll give South everything they want in districts this year.

Like I said in a post before this, Pineville has everyone returning for next year. And even though its nice to win every game, Pineville has a little extra time to work out their wrinkles and reach their full potential. They're taking a few on the chin right now, but they're learning. And even though All "A" is over for Pineville, the season is still young and this bunch also has all of next season. So no worries down here in Pineville.

Pineville has everyone returning for next year. So with that being said I think they are still working out some wrinkles. But once they do they are not going to need anyone's respect to do what they are capable of doing.

I love how people do Pineville. Last year despite winning 22 games they were told how it wasn't a tough schedule. This year they have played a considerably tougher schedule and they still can't get any respect.

Shorthanded or not Pineville has too much potential for Barbourville to be a favorite. Don't get me wrong Barbourville is a good team and they proved me wrong by doing all of what they've done this year, but Pineville should be too much for Barbourville.

Its about time something went Pineville's way this year. But Lynn Camp can't be overlooked, everybody saw what they did last year to the Mtn. Lions.

I think Pineville will be fine playing two games back to back. Its later on in the week when conditioning should be a factor. But I understand where your coming from.

Now I know Pineville is struggling but I do believe they beat Barbourville on their way to getting the one seed in their district. Now I'm not for sure about the seed but Pineville beat Barbourville earlier this season and Pineville has played a much tougher schedule since then so I believe they should be the favorite to meet Cumberland in the championship.

I'll take Bell in this one, but Cumberland could make this one very fun to watch.

I'm going to take Pineville in a close one. The Lions have to start hitting stride tomorrow against Knox with district games this week, WYMT next week, Bell the week after that, and that week followed by All A. 4-5 is not what I thought would happen but this young team has to put that behind them and move on. And they have to realize that dwelling on having a losing record will not make you 9-0. This team has alot of potential and a great coach and he will get the point across to them and they'll be fine come February and March.

James Strange-Pineville, Josh Crawford-Corbin, Cody Miller-Knox Central. These 3 are more than just alot potential, they carry heavy loads for each of their teams.

Pineville beat Barbourville which is what they needed to do considering what this team has been through already this year. But with two starters out for Barbourville, a 15 point win is not what I expected. Pineville has a ton of potential and has plenty of things to work out. But I wasn't expecting a team that has no seniors to be perfect at the start of the season. I'm not really worried about them because they have still yet to hit anywhere close to their stride. But with the Cumberland Falls on its way they better be getting close to stride. Another reason I'm no longer worried about the Mtn. Lions is they have somebody to go to when they need to score. With Blake Hensley graduating last year I personally worried about Pineville because they didn't look like they would have guard that could take over the game. Sophomore James Strange has taken that role and has put the Mountain Lions on his shoulders. Give Pineville sometime and they will be back in the region top 5.

Looks like some more headaches for Les, trying to figure out who number two is this year. If you need any help, you can always come and borrow some of my wisdom.

I don't expect the youth to hurt Corbin any, especially when they are as talented as Corbin's underclassmen are.

The 51st District has two talented underclassmen guards in Knox Central's Cody Miller and Pineville's James Strange. I look forward to watching these two play this season.

June Buchanan is a talented club but they don't have an easy opening game. Now I might be wearing my famed "maroon and gold glasses" but I think Pineville has a good shot at beating everybody's favorite.

What starters did they pull? I didn't see subs untill the last drive of the first half. And if they did sub it was normal rotations for Middlesboro. Pineville fought back hard and was making a run back at the Jackets but some iffy calls put the momentum back in Middlesboro favor before the half. But Coach Elam after an open week next week will have these boys ready to go for their next game.

They won so just congratulate them and move on. The seniors and juniors of this team were members of the 0-10 a couple of years ago, so the least thing they need when they get a big win is for someone to knock them down.

Great game for the Mtn. Lions. Coach Elam seems to be off to the right foot with a win like that. Alex Garland was named Pineville's Laurel Bowl Defensive MVP and Ben Johnson was named Pineville's Laurel Bowl Offensive MVP. Congratulations to those two and the rest of the Mtn. Lions.
