  1. I agree Pineville being better than Bell Co. is very debatable due to the fact of them not playing this season. Hopefully they meet in the post season. As for the bolded statements. Last season is last season so what does that have to do with this season? And "is winning some games", I would say 20 wins and the season ain't over.
  2. Not impressive at all. This very weak schedule that the Mountain Lions have to end off their season could be a problem when Pineville faces off with Lynn Camp in district. But I didn't post to complain about scheduling. This win tonight made this the first Pineville team in 25 years to win 20 games. The last team to do that feat was honored tonight during halftime. The best thing going for this team is the fact the season is hopefully far from over. Congratulations to Coach Strange and his Mountain Lions on their major accomplishment. :thumb:
  3. Somebody is being a little hostile towards the man that is taking Bell scrubs and has a better team then they do.
  4. Not a pretty win by the Mountain Lions but it was a win so no complaining here. Pineville didn't play at all. I wish I could congratulate a Pineville player on playing well but I can't. I can say however that #4 Ryan Clem for Harlan is one heck of a player.
  5. First of all I'm not trying to get anybody mad at me. Being from Pineville I am no fan of Middlesboro basketball. But I believe we have all let our personal beliefs get to involved (me included). I'm not for sure because I didn't start this thread, but I believe it was started so we could all congratulate Miller on an honor most mountain kids don't get. We can critize the flaws of Miller's game some other time.
  6. Pineville beat them 72-32 at OBI in the first round of the All "A".
  7. I NEVER asked myself in the first place if I could see Miller playing Big East ball! Because he can't. IMO Miller just needs to go to LMU where he will have the green light for any shot during his freshmen year.
  8. He's not 6-1 maybe 6 foot or a little shorter. But size don't matter, he can still score from anywhere on the court.
  9. How is it possible for Barbourville's Matthew Cox to be below Lynn Camp's Cody Dixon? When Pineville and Barbourville played him he may have had a combined 15 points. And to cap it off he had 8 points against Red Bird. Now I know NO list can be perfect but somethings are just obvious.
  10. Good list :thumb: but I wouldn't want your job. I would have just tied 3-9 for #3.
  11. Great hard fought game by both teams. 10 more seconds and Pineville would have came out on top, it was just one of those games. James Strange played the best game I've ever seen him play. The freshman really took the Mountain Lions on his back but when he got in foul trouble and eventually fouled out it really did the Mountain Lions in. This was the first time I had got to watch Clay and their physical type of play really did a number on this young Pineville team. Congrats to Clay Co. on coming out the winners in a great game, and for Pineville just take it out on J. Frank White.
  12. Pineville has a ton of offensive potential in their first six but I guess they run the half-court due to lack of depth. When they play someone like Middlesboro who is as deep as they are I guess they just unload.
  13. I can't believe this. Dustin Day for Pineville had 25 points Tuesday against the smaller Red Bird Cardinals, so there is no reason why Dixon should have just 8 points.
  14. This game was very odd for Pineville considering they have been averaging around 60+ pts. a game and only been givin up around 50 pts. a game.
  15. Pineville is 17-4 and is working on the first 20 win season for Pineville in a very long time. The Clay Co. game will probably be the big respect game. IF (and thats a big word) they can when that then I believe all heads will turn.
  16. I'd forgot completely about that. The Mountain Lions are rolling.
  17. Great win for the Mountain Lions. This is the first time in a very long time since Pineville has but triple digits up on the board. The game was well in hand the entire ball game and Middlesboro really posted no threat. Nobody played bad for Pineville. Dustin Day was just too much to handle. He absolutely destroyed Middlesboro down inside he had to be close to the upper 30's in points (I don't know any stats). As for Middlesboro, Stuart Miller played great as usual and was the heart and soul of their offense. If Middlesboro could find as good of coach as they have potential they could have the makings of a good team here in a couple of years. And just as the sign said, "J.D.'s boys know how to 'raise the roof!'" :dancingpa
  18. Good list except for Pineville being below Corbin. Pineville played a great game with Barbourville (for the second time) in the 13 Region ALL "A" championship game and was just 10 seconds from playing in Richmond.
  19. Good list but I would add James Strange from Pineville to the freshmen list.
  20. Barbourville could, but it won't happen. The biggest reason being that Barbourville can only go 6 deep. But if there is a team in the 13th that could pull off the upset on South my money would be on Barbourville just because they're so athletic.
  21. Officiating would be a horrible job and I would never even attempt it. The post I made earlier on this thread is the first time I have ever downgraded refs in my membership, so its not like I'm just your typical ref basher. And 80% of the refs I have ever seen are really good refs but boy the other 20% are really bad. It just seems like this year I have seen a poor sampling of refs. I do agree with you STRIKE3 one call cannot be blammed for a loss or a win.
