Jussie is by no means a violent guy, and normally I would have dismissed his pathetic attention seeking stunt. Unfortunately he chose a particularly homophobic/racist sensitive time to use to his advantage. Not really sure what his punishment should be but I don’t think jail would be appropriate. Would hate to see him benefit financially from this though, whether by book or media. I hope he never gets another acting job, and find him working at IHOP soon.

I hope it wasn’t my 92 year old 3/4 deaf dad. Every time I take him out for lunch, he loudly points out the fat people and yells “look at what she is eating, no wonder she is so fat.” I am a good tipper.

Still flying high, as a fan, after yesterday’s game. I cannot imagine what it would feel like to be a player or coach.

In my previous adrenalin infused post, I should have mentioned the class shown by both teams. In particular I saw #32 from LCA help Cameron Hergot up after a play. I don’t know why, but that particular show of sportsmanship always catches my eye. This was truly a game between two powerhouses. Obviously, I am happy with the outcome, but I do respect the players and fans from LCA. Very classy, and I wish only the best for the graduating seniors, and look forward to future nail biters.

What a game! I thought the Tigers were out of gas in the 3rd quarter, but they managed to refuel. So happy for Coach Rash and his boys!

Just heard from a reliable source that several Beechwood players have the flu.

Tickets for the game can be purchased at KHSAA site. $15 until Tuesday and then the price goes up to $20. No paper tickets, all electronic. Parking opens one hour prior to kickoff, so I guess no tailgating. Might be worth reading through the rules prior to going. I will be keeping my personal record for perfect attendance at every Beechwood State Championship game. Can’t wait!

As I read through this thread, I am a bit embarrassed about a couple of posts, particularly the “go back to 1A” comment. That, in no way represents the mind set of the Beechwood faithful. Yes, we FINALLY beat Mayfield who has had the Tigers by the tail for at least a decade, and no one is more thrilled than I am, but it is a great rivalry now. It reminds me of Beechwood/Cov Cath in the 90’s and also Beechwood/New Cath in the 2000’s. Nothing better than a great rivalry to get everyone stirred up and nervously looking forward to Friday night. Both schools have great programs but this year is the year for the Tigers. I look forward to watching these two programs meeting in the future.

I voted for the Tigers for obvious reasons, but expect a terrifying game next week. Already have my TUMS in my winter coat. Last week there was absolutely no tailgating allowed due to COVID restrictions. Will tailgating be allowed next week?

Holy Cow! The wedding I went to had zero WiFi and it was filled with Beechwood fans. We took turns running outside to check the score. What a great win for the Tigers! Finally broke the Cardinal curse! Way to go Tigers! TAKE STATE!

I too am shocked that there hasn’t been as much coverage on this. From what little but I have seen, I think everyone of those guys should go to jail.

I cannot believe that I have a wedding to go to next week. Any chance the game will be televised? I will sneak an IPad in!
