It's hard to imagine being completely surprised in this day and age. I'm used to people doing ridiculous and unbelievable things, but I'll admit it...this shocked me.

A woman on a flight from NY to Atlanta had a hairless cat wrapped up like a baby. That's not completely strange though, it was supposedly her emotional support cat. The unbelievable part is that she tried to breast feed it on the plane. Repeatedly tried to get the cat to "latch on" and the cat refused while making screaming sounds.

 

Imagine sitting next to her on the flight.

Flying was already bad but it seems to get worse and worse to me.

Mental illness is rampant in our society. I will take this over a homicidal person any day of the week though.  Hopefully she gets the help she clearly needs.

Great point, especially considering how vulnerable we all are on a flight. 

Shouldn't this headline start with the words "Florida Man..."

 

The article says the crew tried to stop her. They probably should have let her be and move anybody next to her elsewhere if possible.  In these instances it is better to placate than agitate.

In a full flight, this would likely have been difficult. But I get what you are saying, and many tense situations can be avoided by following this advice. The last thing you want in a confined space like a plane, is a big huge confrontation that is way more uncomfortable and potentially dangerous than the situation that you're trying to put a stop to.
