I've been saying the same thing about CC football my whole life..

Drew attended the Perfect Game Great Lakes Indoor Showcase today. He threw 3 scoreless innings striking out 5 walking 1 with 0 runs allowed..

Beechwood should be better than last year imo..

Beechwood had a chance to put it away a few times but just couldn't do it.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous that these schools do not have turf fields. The Boone Co. Board of Education is a joke imo!!!!

Who is the favorite?

I thought Vieth was going to CCH because he wanted to play football?

Is this an upset?

For the most part just like in baseball the kids get recruited a lot more during the summer. Coaches will go to the big showcase events during the summer so they can see multiple kids at one time. The kids they like they will try and see during their high school season if they have a chance. Typically kids are noticed during Spring/Summer...

Who wins and why?

11 I think..

I think he will play a lot..

They have 4 kids that throw mid to high 80's. 1 kid is already committed to play in college and 2 more are getting High D1 looks already. The 4th is a sophomore with a ton of potential and just hit 86mph at the PBR Pre Season All State Tryouts Sunday. Birds are loaded with pitching!

There will be some changes I believe..

Highlands will be a much better hitting team this year than last. I think the Birds should be a well rounded team. They will be much better up the middle imo..

I mean seriously CCH gets a NKy Catholic 8th grade all star team every year to work with. The past few years they have even gotten some Cincy kids also.. The CCH coaches do a good job but it's not like the cupboard is bare..

I would say mostly all of the above.

Who moved up to JV from the frosh squad?

Cramer

Beechwood beat Dixie twice this year.. I'm pretty sure Dixie has lost more than two games.. Lol

The funny thing Beechwood plays 4 eighth graders and 2 or 3 started most of the season.. Beechwood's frosh for next year will be very good!!

Beechwood beat Cooper twice and lost in OT in the frosh tournament..

Other kids and parents were fine with it.. Time to move on to baseball and other Spring sports. 33 games was enough for a middle school basketball season..

The three best Frosh teams were in the bottom bracket and two of them played each other in the first round. Seed the tournament or don't play it!
