  1. Diogenes is correct - Sorry Park 1221:D
  2. LOL, I am extremely happy that X has had 2 wins at their new stadium and have drawn a SRO crowd both times. I believe in order to be considered a sellout - you cannot buy tickets? :sssh: I attended the first game and was able to purchase tickets before the game and at half time. Granted they were GA tickets, however tickets were available. :thumb:
  3. Is he coming back for his Senior year? LOL FYI everyone - Jordan is a Junior.
  4. FYI - Trinity also includes all sophmores in the Varsity Photo - Because they are part of the Varsity team. There is not a separate JV photo. This year was the first in the Beatty era that the Sophmores were in different color jerseys. This was done because we have 131 players on the Varsity squad. Do all 131 play in Varsity games? Rarely! But they are part of the team. Playing Juniors in the JV games breaks no rules! Certain institutions choose to not play juniors -that is there choice. Trinity chooses too, and as mentioned, it seems to be working... Back to the thread - I am glad the Rocks won. Congrats!
  5. Glad to hear Zoeller looked better... FYI first game wasn't a sell out either...
  6. Anyone have any info on the JV game this morning?
  7. I can tell you that during the broadcast you can email the crew and comment. You can listen to every game live on the web at THS website. You can listen to every game afterwards on the THS website. You can get actual game stats live as the game progresses on the WEB. THS is broadcast on the same channel every game this year 970 am (The second most powerful station after WHAS in Louisville). The broadcast is mainly focused on getting the best Play by Play and Comments out to the THS faithful that are not able to get to the game. Criticism is helpful... But only if it is objective. Do other High School offer all of the above mentioned items.
  8. How was attendance tonight? Was the Home Side Full?
  9. Do you listen to all Trinity Games? Have you had issues before? Other than the whining you pointed out, did you think the guys were comprehensive? There were several calls that were missed tonight - but the Zebras did a good job. Holding was apparent on a many plays and wasn't called. When the entire home side of the stands in unison shouts "Holding" it is pretty obvious the call was missed. Overall game was officiated fairly for both sides
  10. My hats off to BG!!! - Class team - Class Coach! Great night at Marshall Stadium - Welcome to HS Football 2007 - This was the best game I have seen in the new Marshall Stadium - 8 lead changes wow! Also enjoyed hanging out with the Guru. Come back anytime.
  11. Rocks rolled - Great game by Safety Nick Van Walleghan - 2 picks I believe - Weitlauf & Whiting had good games as well as Robey, Deeds, Griffin & Kupper. The Duttons were on as usual and Stein really settled in. Great effort Rocks!
  12. Will you guys offer reserved parking for your biggest investors?
  13. Don't count Manual out...I here they are the real deal this year...
  14. Buddy BW/Diogenes - My reply about the Trinity/X National Merit Scholar number this year was to respond to incorrect statements that X had so many more Scholars and was such a superior academic school. Never Mind that this is a sports thread about the Trinity Athletic department. There is NO QUESTION that St. X is a fantastic organization from top to bottom. But please take notice - While St. X has been counting their scholars, Trinity has been counting students. With a Senior Class of 400 or so do you really measure the academics on National Merit Scholars only? What about the other 392 students? Trinity is no longer the 2nd class school as many St. X alumni use to (still)believe. We are competing at every level. Gone are the lime green cinder blocks. Trinity has a wonderful small college type campus built with money from a third of the Alumni St. X has. We have students from varying backgrounds and continue to see test scores improve on a yearly basis. Every year Louisville Magazine does a bio on each High School. Every year Trinity has competed and sometimes beat St. X on the SAT average - ACT average, Student/Teacher Ratio, Computer/Student Ratio and other benchmarks. It really isn't important to me if we score below St. X within a few tenths of a point on any of these areas. It tells me we are competing. But back to the thread - Athletics - Since I am academically challenged - Please tell me how many more Football championships has Trinity won? What is that %?
  15. Diogenes - See post 53 below - Diogenes, I believe Trinity had 6 National Merit Scholars this past year to St. X's 8. I know the average ACT score was minimally higher at St. X over Trinity, however Trinity requires all students to take the ACT including those with learning challenges. This would drive the average down. X finished behind T this year in Govenor's cup competition and Trinity had the the Number 1 economics team in the state - However I am not sure they "made" as much money as the X kids? In addtion, the 100 year (exageration, but close) age advantage X has has surely run the numbers up on Championships. I applaud the Swimming team for their complete domination of the aqua world. So as far as real world real time I wouldn't say we are in the rear view mirror. By the way doesn't Manual smoke everyone in National Merit Scholars?
  16. While we don't play in the regular season - Trinity vs. Male has become quite interesting the last few years...
  17. Does anyone know how many scholars Manual had this year?

  19. I don't know the specifics but X was mentioned by SI some time ago - perhaps last year?
  20. Thanks for the Congrats - It all goes to the young men and staff at Trinity:D
  21. :dancingpa Trinity has been named the Top High School Athletic program in the State by Sports Illustrated. :thumb: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/highschool/06/19/top.state/index.html
  22. As some of you know - LSUROCK was a longtime - professional poster on BGP. He was great at stirring the pot over a long period of time. He loved the gamesmanship. As a Trinity supporter, I was the benefactor of his intelligence and facts. I came to know him and became lucky enough to be his friend. I think he would appreciate all of the wonderful comments posted so far. I will always remember my friend when LSU plays. Rest in Peace my friend - Go Rocks!!!
