I would agree but they did have two picks and I wanted to point that out. It must be fixed for Mason County or I'm afraid we will have the same result.

I have to wonder if they will still be ranked number 1. IMO I think Belfry should now be the number 1 team.

I was a little surprised that we just did not kick it out of bounds. The pass defense was bad at times. Then good at times. We did have two picks. Poor David Bailey has to be sick. I hate it for the poor kid.

Congratulations JC. I have to wonder if BGP will still have Louisville Central ranked #1. I would think that it would be about time to move Belfry to #1.

Russell kicked what they thought was the game winner with 11 seconds left on the clock. Two plays and a penalty and SK kicks a FG with no time on the clock.

Congratulations to Simon Kenton on a great win. This was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen Russell play in. The ending was incredable. Not one but two game winning field goals. Russell played their hearts out to an excellent Simon Kenton team. Once again Congratulations on a great victory.

They have not been as good as they have been. Although they have been good enough to win and that is what counts. They will be tested tomorrow you can bet on that. Can they pass the test? We will find out.

You know this comes up every once in a while on BGP. I have heard people talk about how the refs were bad and if you go play at Ashland you have to score more, or if you go to Russell the flaggs will fly. It is said in a way that makes you believe the Refs have been corrupt. I'm sorry but I have just not seen this. Not at all. Yes I have seen the refs make bad calls. Bad calls for both teams. All in all I think the Refs do a great job.

I think we are all in for a treat. I see a very good game from these two teams. I'm sure S K is concerned about the Wing-T just as Russell is concerned about pass defense. I hope all the Simon Kenton fans enjoy our stadium and facilities. Have a safe trip.

This happened in the Championship game with Russell and Mercer except the ball was on the one yard line. The QB was stopped cold on the one yard line for several seconds. The ref does not blow the wistle nor signal TD. The QB has the ball knocked out of his hands. An Offensive lineman recovers the ball in the end zone. Game winning touchdown for Mercer.
