No problem, there are also two other players from Dunbar going along with him to Murray State, QB-Chris Franklin and Sean O'Brien who was one of the kickers for the Kentucky All-Star team.

I want to say it was a great read! Felt like I was there. I was unable to attend because of the day it was held but it sounded like a good showing by both teams. I wouldn't root against KY ALL Stars for no reason especially since we had a local kid on the team but being a new Murray State fan :thumb: I gotta give it up to our new recurit. Sounded like Sir. Charles had a great game. Go Kentucky we'll get them next year!!!!! LTW.

Having been part of the Southwestern faithful for several years I can tell you first hand that Coach Anderson does an outstanding job with his kids getting college looks and the Adm. does a great job of making sure their eligible to play NCAA football. With the average of two to three players a year going on to play college ball is fantastic to me but Coach A spends a lot of time and effort to get it done. Not only has he had players go on to college he's had several trainers go join college squads. :thumb: to Coach A and what he's done for a lot of his kids, and if this was what the new guy and his kid was looking for he's in the right place...........LTW.

Who said Ky boys can't play football? This was two in a row, way to go Louisville Male. I'm sure they didn't contiune that match up for very long. Anyways what an historical event and win. The historical people should try to get together the group that played in that game!!!!

I agree it has to be somewhere and it just split the Louisville schools up. I know people complain that T & X are close but would it have been better if X, T, Male, Manuel, all been in the same district and region? I don't know? How ever you put these big schools there is someone going to have to play two or three of these teams every year.

I was going to say this issue has been discuss several times. Doesn't Louisville have almost as many 4A schools as the rest of the state? I'll see if I can find the thread and attach.

Leatherneck, the rotation of games sounds very good to me and gives all teams a chance every other or at the very least every two years. The change in early playoffs are going to benifit some Louisville teams in 3A because they will not have to play Boyle Co. early like before until the Regional championship. Now last season Bullitt East got them in that game but it had been a while before anyone had knocked them out of the playoffs. We'll see them during season and post season now but they will still be a tough out. I'm sure the same goes for Highland and teams they have put out early as well. But you know the motto is to be the Best you have to beat the Best...................LTW

Football, you are allowed to compete as an 8th grader (Tim Couch did) but as stated above you have the NEXT 4 years to compete. Unless you get a court injuction and get an injury year. (Bobby Leifew).

Back in the day, late 70's everyone involved in sports knew this rule. You can't finish 8th grade. Once you do your a 9th grader plain and simple. If you repete a grade it has to be 7th. and during your repete year you can't play ball. This is the situation that Bill Walker is in I believe only he was tranfering schools and repeteing the same grade. Good luck to this kid and I hope it was just a mistake and no one done this intentially..........LTW.

With the new alinement in playoffs we may see one another twice this season but there are a couple of other teams I'm sure that'll have a say so about that. I agree with RebelK as to Boyle Co. success. Danville may have helped raise their game and to see what it takes to win but their were a lot of factors involved. I, having seen them play for the last three years up close and personal (5 times total) that their winning was how Bobby Jones said you play golf "on the 4 inch farway between your ears" They never seems to believe they were in any danger of losing. I watched their title game they lost to Highlands 2004 and late in the fourth quarter down x amount of points with little to no chance of winning it was fourth and something and they troted on the punt team. Everyone one was buzzing in the stands about it and I thought it was "A move of champions" you were just better than us today but we'll be back to continue was what I saw. If you can get your young men to believe it's not death when you lose you just lost to a better team today and there will be a tomorrow and your never losers when you play this game the right way. It was a great thing to happen to a great bunch of kids and parents. I'll look forward to seeing them again this year and maybe we'll give them a loss but either way it goes you know your better bring your A-game or it's going to be a long night...............LTW.

That is correct, he committed the summer before his senior year. He also had offers from Bowling Green and Ohio.

And to think prayer is not allowed in school just makes me ill! This story is a great reminder of a great and wonders God we have. I hope he over looks our narrow mindness in the future...............LTW.
