Tough stretch of games

Featured Replies

Just wondering what you think your teams toughest stretch of games would be, at least on paper. I'll cheat a little by offering Lex. Caths opening stretch to include scrimages. PRP(scr.)-@Trinity(scr.)-@St. X-Scott Co. to start the season. New coaches and new qb may have a baptisim by fire.

Highlands

Sept 1 - Cincinnati Elder

Sept 9 - Louisville St.X

Sept 15 - Pulaski SW

Sept 22 - Columbus DeSales:scared: :scared:

Southwestern has a 6 game opennng stretch of Rockcastle @ Danville, Somerset @ Somerset, George Rogers Clark, South Laruel @ South Laruel, Highlands @ Ft. Thomas, and then last but not least the opening of district play Boyle Co. @ of all places Boyle Co. Got to love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm coming to see all my Birds fan buddies Sept. 15. See you guys soon!!!

Dunbar- MBA, Mad. Central, PRP, Ryle. Then all the District Games.

BUTLER

Has to play St.X, Manual, Male, and PRP in a 5 week span. That has to be one of the most difficult run of games.

St. X has a pretty forminable schedule for the year:

Bowling Green, Lexington Catholic, Fern Creek, Highlands, Trinity, Manual, PRP, Iroquois, and Male.

Highlands, Trinity, Bowling Green, PRP and Male may be top 5 in their class. Lexington Catholic, Fern Creek, and Manual are traditionally strong. This year should be one of the best in a while for Iroquois. BTW, X closes out with Butler, a team with a coach there for his first year, but who did a fine job at Fairdale.

This has to be about as tough as one can get.

Manual scrimmages against Ballard and Lincoln County then

opens the season with Brentwood Academy (TN) - Old Rivalry Bowl

Eastern

Trinity

Warren Central

Meade County

ST.X

PRP

Butler

Iroquois

Male

I don't think it matters which are home and which are away, still a "killer"

schedule.

Dixie only has three non district games, but it's not too shaby a way to start your season.:D

Week 1.) Highlands

Week 2.) Beechwood

Week 3.) Bye

Week 4.) Covington Catholic

St. X has a pretty forminable schedule for the year:

Bowling Green, Lexington Catholic, Fern Creek, Highlands, Trinity, Manual, PRP, Iroquois, and Male.

Tough schedule! Last year many believed X had the toughest schedule as well. Playing this type of schedule is good experience for building towards a state run, but a number of people close to the program wonder if the team was worn out by the end of the regular season and playoffs. This type of schedule, week in and week out, often meant that the starters played more reps (more injuries and dings) and not as well rested at the end when it counted. Hopefully, that won't be a factor this year.

That is indeed a tough schedule!!! Very very impressive non district matchups.:thumb:

Hopkinsville their first 5 games will be their toughest until the playoffs.

1) Alcoa (Tennessee) Integra Bowl-Trigg Co. Alcoa will be the best team Hoptown plays all year including the playoffs.

2) Male

3) AT Mayfield

4) OPEN

5) Ridgeway (Tennessee)

6) Christian Co.

The good news is there is only 2 games during that stretch away from home.
