Top Returning Players for 2016 in Western Kentucky
Owensboro Catholic On Offense they lose quit a bit of talent, but 4 OL starters are back and some WRs Weston Jacob and Hayden Hartz. They have to replace a 2 WR, QB, and a RB. QB will be the question mark for OC, but every year they seem to have one groomed and they just fit right in. Defensively they have 3 DL coming back, 2 LB's coming back and 2 DB's coming back. Losing Boarman and his 200 tackles will hurt some, but their DL were very young last year and have alot of upside to them as well. Nick Blair and Riney are back at LB. I think Million Dollar question will be, how much of the offensive playbook can they use in 2016? There might be some learning curves early on for the new QB. They Scrimmage Henderson Co and open up with Evansville Mater Dei.

When does the AP ALL STATE team come out?

Best of the Bluegrass Roster
I think the coaches do, but some say no or elect not to play because of another sport. I was told they ask for nominations and the deadline for nominations is Oct.1. I think that is WAY too early.

Plan to level the playing field in Kentucky
You do realize not one private school won this weekend. I think it's been leveled.

Private schools and the voucher program
I think it will pass, but I agree with Dark Horse. Alot of private schools like a Trinity or St.X or Lex Cath do not want this. Now, a DeSales, OWCath, or Newport Cath will want this.

The NCC muffed punt should have been a touchback - blown call by the officals
You are correct. Happened one rainy night in Hancock Co. when Owensboro Catholic played Hancock Co. THe ref said their was no such thing as a muff punt. Ball goes into the endzone and Catholic falls on it and it's ruled a safety. To answer your question, Guru. You are right.

VERY!! But this is not the first year it was political

Bowling Green/Pulaski County Updates
I be shocked if they call it. Refs are usually worried about how they look in these games and that they have enough room in the sidelines. Even if players are all the way back on the murals.

Holding in the state finals?? No way.

Why or why didn't you attend the state finals games?
I just agree, since the big Louisville schools won't play each other only 1 in 4 years now, WKU makes sense. If they had a chance to play every year I would say UL makes sense.
-

I think they are pretty smart. UL cost them an arm and leg. I also think since they don't have the big dog Lousiville schools away from each other i.e (Male, Trinity or X) that why play it in Louisville. I personally like the WKU venue.

How do other schools do it?
I'm bringing this up because it will help with my point that some places are football schools and some are not. Just because a team loses doesn't mean they don't work hard. I have seen coaches work their butts off, but not win a state title. Not everyone has bingo $$ going right in their program. Some coaches have to wear many hats. (I.e head coach, strength coach, equipment manager, offensive, defensive, and special teams coordinator). Just because they don't win a title doesn't mean they don't work harder the Trinity, St.X, Male, Desales, These schools do a fantastic job. No doubt. I think they win because success breeds success. Someone brought up extra practices for 5 more weeks. It's true. That helps out big time. Sometimes the school and parents are involved in helping and letting coaches coach. I think that's what mayfield has. Do they have talent every year No. Do they instill a quality program from elementary school level? Yes. Do they fundraise well. Absolutely. It's a great program and a great place RICH in tradition. Mayfield is a Football school.

Something that amazes me about Mayfield Football
The thing that has impressed me about Mayfield through the years is that the Machine keeps going. Sure, there might be ONE year where the Machine needs fine tuning, but that's what happens when you throttle the engine all the time. HEY that's why they have won 13+ State Titles ( I don't know, maybe some of the Mayfield people can help me).

Thank You! It validates my comments about people not accepting ok he was right or other saying he was in the wrong. Let it Go!

Ok fair enough, but if I would of said. I agree with him. You would of said, "Wait, he doesn't need to say that." and then we go back to square 1. The thread asks if he went too far. NOT what you, or I would of done. IF everyone can accept the fact that you would say YES, and I would say MAYBE he went to far then all would be ok. BUT everyone has to keeping asking for more insight or opinions. Watch Nick Saban's quote on a press conference about Kirby Smart going Georgia. HE tries to leave it at ok he's going. Then the media speculates and creates crap. I think this is what this thread is doing. He said what he said, NOW GO ON!!!!!

and his QB. If it's about Johnny Hines, then why is he being brought up. Oh his comparison of his QB and another. Reading the thread some say he doesn't have a D1 scholly because of his height. I pointed out some QB's who played at BCS schools that have succeeded. Yes, it's about Johnny and what he said. I'm defending what he said.

The other thing is, I have seen 5'9 QB's play at a Div.1 level and excel. I have seen Drew Brees up close and it has him listed at 6'0. NO WAY. He's 5'10 MAYBE.

Just call it like I see it. Go back and watch both QB's body language when the other one was starting.

Actually I supported Towles a year ago. I could tell nobody on the team did. I'm just observing from what I have seen from other players. Don't get your panties in a wade now guys. It is what it is. If you don't like what I say, which is the truth or what Pulaski's coach says, why does his or my comments bug you? Oh I know why.........

Who cares? The kid is a great QB. NO he will not get a scholarship to UK cause they don't want good QB's they like 6'5 guys who can only throw it 25 yards and kids who get punked out at an EKU dorm who also throws off his back foot, who everyone on KSR loves because he's "just cool". I could of told you the biggest problem at UK were those two clowns. Getting back to Riley, I do think he's a good QB and should land somewhere. Where, I don't know. I think these days it's a butt kissing competition sometimes. I have seen kids from other programs who struggle at a UK or UL.

Not one darn thing wrong with what he said. One of the best QB's I have ever seen was only 5'9 and it was Jarod Bryant of Hoover High School. Size doesn't meaning anything. Winning Championships does. PERIOD!!
