And thats the major difference in OH and KY football. If Trinity loses they probably cruise to the playoffs and probably state. If Cincy St X loses... well 1-2 losses in OH can = no playoffs. As for that Elder game I won't go yard with ya about it... there was a questionable call, but Trinity won. Trinity also had a top 5 ranked team in the nation that year. That kinda team will muscle up to the OH boys.

Then that is clearly the difference. When looking at a map, OH does not look that much bigger. But it swallows KY apparently.

Furthering the Guru's point on how Ohio is a football state. The private or public schools can compete for a title each year. But if you wanna get technical it can be a basketball state too. It almost seems like Ohio more athletes and spread out all over the state. But OH is not too much bigger than KY is it? KY certainly has athletes but many seem to be in the major cities. And in those major cities most go to a private school. After that happens its almost like the public schools are left with nothing in some areas. It is interesting to think about. I am familiar with NKY football. If they had a Trinity like 4A school in NKY, how much would all the public schools suffer, my guess would be badly.

Ohio is clearly a football state. One of the best football states in the country. Ohio football eats KY alive. We have two pro football teams, one of the best college programs in the county, and clearly top 5 HS football in the country. Trinity the KY power would have maybeeee 1/5th of their current championships in OH.

I would get some sturdy window blinds. Pretty neat invention they are.

They do dominate KY... wish they would cross the river more often. The confines aren't as friendly over here

Highlands also has a history of playing teams who over match them. HHS is definetly not afraid of ANYONE, and will play anyone. Just one of those teams who believe they can learn a lot from playing a power house team.

I don't know if your mocking me as a doctor or what. But its common sense. In ANY sport a knee to knee injury is a recipe for an ACL. Also, females are more likely to have knee injuries, then males. I am in no way rooting for her to be injured. I was just pointing out a fact.

If its a knee to knee injury like the play by play guy said thats usually an ACL. Hope not.

What is the update on his recruiting? This kid should be kicking D-1. Please keep us up to date. Also, forward that website to local college athletic department websites.

2Short, Your not seeing the light here at all. You don't think its a problem, when a 3A (smaller divison school) located in NKY being (CovCath) would have given Trinity a better game tonight. Then a 4A (largest division) also in NKY? Its not fate, luck, hope.. there's a reason for it.

Well thanks.... I had no clue. I have not seen Trinity play all year and knew they were going to drill Ryle. Boone, Brohms SR year was having a great year. Got drilled by the same score I believe. Same reason why CovCath usually pounds on Boone annually. You come and look at the small area of the city of "Union" and where Ryle gets their kids from. Then look at the areas Trinity is able to get theirs from. I would put ANYTHING on it in the world... that CovCath a CATHOLIC 3A team, would have given Trinity a much better game then Ryle did tonight.

Actually its probably the growth. Boone Co was the fastest growing county in the state at one time.

What do you think the talk of catholic league formats and public league formats is all about?

Exactly, Boone couldnt do it with Shaun. How are the Boone Co. teams going to do it with the kids being spread out to different schools, as they are now?

That's what you don't understand. You would have to combine Ryle/Boone/Conner to match up with Trinity and the vicinty of players they are able to get. It was a great effort by Ryle. I just wish when they work that hardm and go that far, they have a fair match up.

Good try for Ryle. Same results when a public 4A team gets down state. Can't compete with the catholic schools from Louisville and the advantages they have. No surprise here.

Your probably right. Highlands is the favorite in 3A again aren't they? It just amazes me that almost every year Ohio is ahead of Ft. Thomas and too be fair a lot of other KY schools.
