Not sure but this HHS team does not look ANYthing like last years CCH.

Conner is not a Mike Mitchell or anything. He fumbled what 3 times tonight? They will compete fine in NKY but against the big boys I don't see them having any kind of advantage they have had in the past. I don't see them having a lot if any really successful D-1 athletes out there this year.

Game was never really close. Ryle couldn't comeplete a pass to save their lives.... Highlands has good speed and seem to play together as a team. But they don't have the studs they have had the past few years. Fitzgerald was solid on D. Highlands had a lot of procedure problems today and Conner has to hold onto the ball.

LaSalle is consistently bottom half of the GCL South or so it seems. But still too much for CCH this year. CCH lost A LOT. CCH will have to stop DeVier Posey, one of the top WR's in the country and headed to play for my Buckeyes!

Ankle sprains can be as bad as breaks. Hope it's very minor....

Beating Highlands at Highlands, then beating Highlands again at CovCath (playoffs), then beating LexCath at LexCath (playoffs) is the ULTIMATE Gaunlet in 3A football over the last 3-5 years. It DOES not get harder then that. CCH passed all 3 test, and of course won the state game. And I would have to stay CCH played a slighttllyyyy better schedule than Trinity last year. But if they did it was only about a 51/49 push there.

It bothers me more when I even mention the fact CovCath could have played with Trinity and the Trinity fans laugh... I don't like that kind of arrogance.

People forget NKY doesn't have the luxury of a catholic 4A powerhouse or now what would be a 6A I guess. CovCath is as close as it gets. If we did have a 6A catholic school you can COUNT on KY football being different in the playoffs. People are not giving CCH any credit. I know this board is full of Trinity homers and of course they won't say Trinity is anything less than #1, I understand that. But CCH had a great team last year, and has the last few. Very deep on both sides of the ball, good recievers and a running game, mean defense. They played well with Elder and Cincy St X.. maybe if Trinity had crossed the river last year we could have put it into better perspective. Losing to Elder by 10 and playing well with St X until Ashley just went off was impressive for a lil 3A school. I will stand by CCH being one of the top if not best team in the state last year.. and I DON'T even like CCH.

I agree need to get back on topic although all of the fun comparisons with the upcoming game make it even more interesting. Remember though CovCath last year was only down @ Cincinnati St X 10-3 at the half. I look forward to the Trinity game and can't wait to watch it live. Trinity going to air it out or run it this year? I know they are usually balanced but im sure they will favor one or the other. What do they have cooking?

You mean ask someone else who's not a Trinity fan I do agree there were probably only 2-3 teams who could have played with Trinity last year in KY.. CovCath was one of them. Again just my opinion we will never know but that was a great CCH team. Very deep on both sides of the ball.. amazing athleticism.

That's your opinion. They were a very very good team. Deep at every position. They played well with some of Ohio's best last year also. CovCath was LIGHT years better than Ryle last year. Boone, who beat Ryle, lost to CovCath by 42 points.

Present day... if not Beechwood, what other school would you have liked to have played for?

I assume your talking about Bradley Glaathar but he is bigger than Ashley.. Ashley is all SPEED.. he's like a Slaton..Glathaar was power and speed, but not as quick as Ashley.

CovCath was also the best team in the state last year. In my opinion and many others. There only 3 losses last year... you guessed it.. 3 OH teams.

They're a good team.. but they aren't on the level of the Colerain team.

I mean't as far as the rest of the competition for Elder in OH that year.

Really no sense in questionable calls at this point. Elder can say they got screwed, you guys can say you got screwed, but both teams had a chance to win. Bottom line we should see a great game in about a month. I will say one thing about St. X they are not afraid of anyone and I doubt they keep that #1 ranking. They have an absolute BRUTAL schedule. I don't think anyone within 200 miles would want it. They have Dematha Catholic (Keith Bogans alumni and have been the #1 team in DC several times in the last 10 years) from Wash DC and Cleveland Glenville which if I remember correctly is Teddy Ginn Jr's/Troy Smith's alumni before Trinity.. they may not even be 1 going into it.

With a questionable goal line call.. but remember that game was played in Union, KY. And personally I thought that was a down year.. Elder was good but not that great. You guys didn't break the rule I look forward to this game and so should Trinity I am sure they are up for the competition 15 mins past NKY.

No nothing against Trinity any team with that many state titles has to no what they are doing. It's just Trinity is breaking the rule, that some of the OH schools have come given the KY schools... don't cross the river

The Bombers won't give them the bluegrass treatment... Trinity better show up to play.

Been to several games in the commonwealth and in Cincy.... and by FAR I would say Cincinnati Elder, "The Pit" is a VERY hostile atmoshpere with fans who have no compasion at all. If you screw up you will have 5-6K letting you know about it. Not to mention you have about 10K sitting on top of you while your playing in the hole. If you combined Highlands and Covcath you would have the atmosphere of the Pitt almost.

When the kids in Cincy are entering JR High.. they are already figuring out/preparing what high school football program they will play for. The feeder systems in Cincy are unmatched. Another cool example of OH trying to show off its football is that Herbstreit VS the USA challenge. Just a big time football state. What is your opinion Guru you have seen a lot of Bluegrass HS football for quite some time now.
