Play gets underway tomorrow morning (weather permitting) at Bowling Green CC. I'll take St. X in the team event and Zach Norris from Jackson Co. in the individual part. That's what I predicted back in August, so I'm sticking to my guns. Participants - Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys State

Here's my take as a former basketball official: You can ask questions (in a respectful manner) all night long. You can question my judgment (in a respectful manner) all night long. The tipping point is when you start questioning me on the rules. The amount of coaches out there at the high school level that don't know the rules baffles me. And then they want to question you on those rules?!?! That's what drove me mad as an official. I'll also say this; when some coaches questioned me, I listened more than when other coaches questioned me. I'm not going to say any names, but the opinion of some coaches was more weighted in my book than the opinion of other coaches. Why? Because some coaches will question EVERY SINGLE PLAY. That gets real old, real fast. jmo

Didn't surprise me at all. She can flat out get it done. If I'm not mistaken, Emma Talley only beat her by a shot in the regioanl tournament when Emma was a Senior and this young lady was a freshman. Terrible last name for a golfer though...

Cool. Isn't there a Homecoming parade sometime this week? We live close to CAL and my kids have been hearing about from the other neighborhood kids.

I'd personally like to congratulate Coach Kevin Lawson and the Montgomery Co. Indians on qualifying for State. He's very young and quite frankly upset one particular team in their region for the 2nd spot, who a couple weekends ago, skipped out on a tournament in their own backyard to go play a practice round at Bowling Green CC. :no:

According to KHSAA site, Rison is still the coach.

That really surprises me.

That would be a great pick up for BC, but I don't see it happening.
