What's happening out there in high school golf?

Which teams have some nice returning talent?

Any newer talent that is just now coming on to the scene?

Apparently Ryle has a very solid team on the boys side as does Covington Catholic. Individual performers that have done very well the last few years are Parker Harris of Highlands and Drew McDonald of NCC.

Heard McDonald just won a youth tourney a few weeks ago by like 10 storkes. Kid can play. Nice hoopster too.

Ryle is very deep. Austin Squires, Logan Gamm, Ryan Clements, and Poore kid transferred from Walton. They will be tough to beat.

I'll take St. X to win the state title this year. I know, really going out on a whim.

An individual to watch out for is Zach Norris of Jackson Co.

Highlands is very young outside of Parker. They're playing in the Cooper Classic at Boone Links today.

I thought they had Mark Richter and Austin Mayhew golfing and they are both juniors to be. Who is the golf coach?

Met him this morning when I dropped my son off for the tournament. Winkler, for some reason can't recall his first name.

That's a talented group of seniors, plus there's a junior named Austin Zapp who'll be a contender for one of the top 5 spots.

I knew Zach was going to be a good one when I saw him in middle school. Jackson County play a few of their matches on our home course. But I think he plays mostly at Crooked Creek in London, which isn't very far from McKee.

One senior, 2 juniors a sophomore and the rest are freshmen and under.
