Lots of fake news on Twitter about John Higgins refereeing tomorrow.
I can promise you he’s not. He’s not even refereeing in the SEC this year.
I’ll be honest though, I’d rather have Higgins than two of the three working tomorrow....
Made it to the finals of my league.
QB and RB spots are solid but struggling on who to play at WR/TE positon. I have to start three of the following:
Bryant
Funchess
Agolor
Shepard
Olsen
Thoughts?
I'm really looking forward to the 1st Round matchup of the Gateway Classic at Montgomery Co. between Anderson Co. and Campbell Co.
Should be a great one.
CONTACTING THE BACKBOARD
10.3.4 SITUATION: A1 tries for a goal, and (a) B1 jumps and attempts to block
the shot but instead slaps or strikes the backboard and the ball goes into the basket; or (b) B1
vibrates the ring as a result of pulling on the net and the ball does
not enter the basket. RULING: In (a) legal and the basket counts; and (b) a technical
foul is charged to B1 and there is no basket. COMMENT: The purpose of the
rule is to penalize intentional contact with the backboard while a shot or try is
involved or placing a hand on the backboard to gain an advantage. A player who
strikes either backboard so forcefully it cannot be ignored because it is an attempt
to draw attention to the player, or a means of venting frustration may be assessed
a technical foul pursuant to Rule 10-3-6..
Not only can they do it in KY, but also in any other state in this great country we live in. That is, as long as it's an "attempted" block. That's up to the discretion of the official(s).
"Theee foul is on #4, Phelps, his first, team's seventh. Aaaat the line, Jones and he will have one....and the bonus."
"No goal.......steps called."
Dude was great.
The gate is split after officials and trophies are paid for. That's the only "expenses" that are taken off the top.
The visiting school has to pay for travel out of their cut.
And these colleges are going to just let a couple of random high school teams use their facility?
By the time the two schools participating paid for buses, personnel to work the game and whatever the college charged for the use of the facility it wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.
Had a fabulous time on my trip. Del Mar is beautiful. We stayed in La Jolla and it's equally beautiful.
I won a few bucks Friday, but didn't cash a ticket Saturday until the 10th race.
I did get to experience the celebration of the guy that won the Breeders Cup Betting Challenge. He was in the Trophy Lounge with us. Pretty cool.
