From what I saw last year, The Warriors need to play team basketball to improve on an under-achieving season. Last year, there were YMCA teams that played with more togetherness and less selfishness..

It is watered down, isn't it??? I have some serious reservations about this system.

Pikeville at #4 is too high at this point in the season, IMO Lots of skill returning but still question marks in the trenches. They may be the # 4 team, I'd just like tosee it first. BTW, I hate preseason rankings.

I believe the baseball field's layout is being changed...that could be where the confusion came from.

I believe Shelby Valley has the following in addition to what is listed on KHSAA site: Aug 24th v Pike Central--Pike Co Bowl at Belfry Sept 28 v Knox Central-Home Oct 12 at Appalachia, VA

Actually, I believe the schedule looks like this. Friday Aug. 24 at Belfry High School East Ridge vs Phelps 6:00 PM Belfry vs Corbin 8:00 PM Saturday Aug. 25 at Pikeville High School Pike County Central vs Shelby Valley 6:00 PM Pikeville vs Louisville Holy Cross 8:00 PM

I'm not sure what the latest posts have to do with P-Burg getting a new field and I;m sure someone should get back on topic but allow me to chime in...Belfry was Loooooooong overdue for a new school and new athletic facilities!!! As a Pike Co taxpayer, I feel like it was money well spent...EVERY child in Pike Co deserves nice facilities.... ...just like I'm sure Floyd Co and P-Burg taxpayers feel like their children deserve top notch facilities also. There, back on topic.

Game will be broadcast in eastern KY and southern WV on WXCC 96.5/Williamson, WV and in Pikeville/Prestonsburg on 900&960am TalkRadio beginning at 7:30, Sat July 28. The game is being played at Matewan's Tiger Stadium. A live stream of the broadcast will also be available at http://www.900wlsi.com and http://www.wxccfm.com

Believe me, I believe ALL coal producing counties would love to keep their coal severance tax monies...Could you help us out and call your state representatives and senators and tell them they should vote to let us keep it??? BTW, I think it is a great thing whenever ANY of the fields/stadiums are improved for our kids to have a better place to play.

Please don't start about KERA funding or we in the mountains will have to bring up the "golden triangle's" thievery of our coal severance tax dollars for decades.

I don't believe Belfry starts practice until the 23rd or 24th.
